Stunning mountains set the scene for this beautiful detached villa located in the village of Ovacik in south west Turkey. Set in its own landscaped gardens with a backdrop of Babadag mountain, this four storey villa has a large private pool. Every room throughout the villa has air conditioning and mosquito nets are fitted to every window and door.
The villa has 4 bedrooms, 3 king and 1 twin. 3 bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. One has a separate adjacent bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have their own private balconies.
On the ground floor, an open plan living area with a fully equipped kitchen leads out to a large terrace with a built in brick BBQ for alfresco dining. A fine place to relax and watch the stunning sunsets. The terrace overlooks the large private pool which provides sun beds, parasols and shower.
There is a laundry room in the basement.

The village of Ovacik nestles amongst the pine forest on the lower slopes of Babadag and enjoys a cool refreshing breeze. Perfect in the height of summer. There is a pretty collection of small hotels, shops, bars and restaurants. Whilst you can enjoy a peaceful drink and dinner in Ovacik itself, only a short walk along the main road is the small but buzzing resort centre of Hisaronu, where an abundance of bars, restaurants and bars can be found. The area caters for all age groups and tastes in both food and music. There are also a couple of night clubs.
There are two waterparks in Ovacik, one newly opened in 2015. Horse riding is also available in Ovacik. Hisaronu hosts a funfair throughout the summer months and there are go karts tracks for adults and children. There are also trampolines, crazy golf and a bouncy castle. A market takes place every Monday.
A five minute 'dolmus' (bus) or taxi ride away is the fabulous resort of Olu Deniz home of the most photographed beach in Turkey. The clear turquoise waters and white sand of its natural lagoon are simply breathtaking and the warm waters provide swimming for most of the year. If you are adventurous, Olu Deniz is also one of the best paragliding spots in the world. Other activities include a host of water sports, daily excursions, boat fishing trips and scuba diving.
Bars and restaurants are more chilled out in Olu Deniz. Great food and great music aren't hard to find. Several beach front restaurants are fantastic. Great at sunset.
Fethiye is the largest town in the area and is a 15 minute ride away on the dolmus. Set between wooded mountains and a wide blue bay, it is a bustling market town with many shops, restaurants and cafés. On Tuesdays it boasts the biggest market in the area. In the old town bazaar you can find traditional arts and crafts including turkish rugs, leather goods and hand crafted pottery and glassware. The shops and bars are full of life by day and by night. Visit the weekly market or stroll along the new marina where there are numerous waterside restaurants. Daily boat and fishing trips set sail each day from here. A place not to miss is the fish market. You can buy your fish from the daily catch and have it cooked by one of the surrounding restaurants - excellent value.
Frequent dolmus services run between Fethiye, Ovacik, Hisaronu and the beach at Olu Deniz. Taxis are readily available and inexpensive.
The Lycian Way, a 530 kilometre trekking route begins in Ovacik. The route was opened in 2000 and is one of the Sunday Times 'World's Ten Best Walks'. Mountains, ancient ruins, sunken cities and fine beaches characterise this challenging national trail. The route snakes along the mediterranean's most dramatic coastline to the mountain peaks of Olympus, soaring high above the glittering turquoise sea. The Lycian Way ends in Antalya.
A vast array of tours and excursions are available from local tour operators in Hisaronu and Olu Deniz. These include boat trips to the nearby beauty spots of Butterfly Valley, Faralya and 12 Islands, as well as the ancient historical sites of Ephesus and the Lycian tombs and the natural wonders of the Pumakkale pools and Sakklikent Gorge. Jeep safaris are also popular.
Boats can be hired for private family trips, especially at Fethiye marina. Just stop and ask.
