Chicot State Park is located in South Central Louisiana and is comprised of 6,400 acres of hills and water to explore. A fisherman's dream, Lake Chicot's cool, clean waters are home to largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill and red-ear sunfish. The park itself hosts a boat house, three boat launches and boat rental facilities to make fishing that much easier, or an opportunity for campers who just want to enjoy the waters via boat! For hikers and bikers, there is a beautiful trail encircling Lake Chicot that is perfect for walking or cycling and enjoying the scenery of the park. The park is home to the Louisiana State Arboretum, a magical magnolia-beech forest, in addition to a playground and a water playground - perfect for keeping the little ones busy!
Campsite C is nestled at the top of a hill overlooking the beautiful forested woods of Chicot State Park. Right outside of one of the tents, is a BEAUTIFUL light pink and magenta azalea bush that is full of blooms in the spring time. There's tons of shade and big beautiful trees. With all of our rentals, you will have access to all of Chicot's fishing, hiking, and other outdoor activities. This tent is within a 10 minute walk, or a 1 minute drive from the splash pad. It's a small waterpark with fountains and sprayers for kids to play in! Parking is provided right at the tent. The drive to get to the site is completely paved as well as the parking spaces.
Please note: The park gate closes at 9pm so please arrive prior to ensure you can access your campsite. Also keep in mind, some photos on this listing are of points of interest at Chicot State Park and are not necessarily right at your campsite.
The Space:

Guest Access:
Campers will have access to a primitive on-site bathroom facilities (see below) as well as the bathrooms and showers available in other areas of the state park.
Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.
Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.
Other Things to Note:
- Pack your own food, water, firewood, bedding, bug spray and flashlights
- There is no electricity, AC, or heater at your Tentrr site, pack accordingly
- Anything you pack in, you must pack out. This is "leave no trace" camping and all sites will be inspected for cleanliness and damages before the next camper
- All trash MUST be deposited in the designated trash receptacle that is labeled on the map.Please notes : If you do not follow this rule, you will be charged a cleaning fee of at least $50
- Pets are allowed. Please keep all pets on leashes(we recommend 6 ft), and DO NOT let your pets near or swim in any bodies of water.
- Please remember to respect and keep your distance from our wildlife in the park. Feeding any wildlife is prohibited. Be aware and watch all surrounding areas when going off trail.
Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property.
If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or state park property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!
