About the Space
Welcome to Candlewood Lake! Our beautiful garden getaway is perfect for a family getaway to relax, unwind and make memories at our unique vacation home.
Our beautiful home is in Atchison Cove, only a 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive to the private beach on the lake with a deeded dock. There is plenty of quality space for everyone to enjoy swimming, boating, paddle-boarding, kayaking, fishing, and relaxing by the fire pit. Only 75 miles from NYC.
The space
The main floor includes a newly remodeled kitchen with an adjacent dining room that seats eight with beautiful garden and forest views.
Off the dining room is a charming, unique, screened indoor / outdoor room that includes a bar and mini fridge. It is the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful breeze. In the winter, you can cozy up at the fire pit table and enjoy a hot cocoa! From here you walk straight out to the second floor deck where you will find a seating area as well as a BBQ, perfect for grilling dinner on a beautiful day.
The living room with a double fireplace, has a flat screen television and comfortable seating with gorgeous views of the forest is a great place to relax. With two double sliding glass doors that lead to second floor deck, you can breathe in the fresh country air.
The sunroom, adjacent to the living room, is the perfect place to curl up to read a book or play a game while enjoying the view of the flowers in the garden.
The primary bedroom is on the ground floor with a king bed, a walk-in closet and a full bath with a jet bathtub. There is a double sliding door which opens to a personal deck.
At the top of the stairs you will find the first of three bedrooms. The first bedroom has a king bed and five sunroof windows so you can wake up with the morning sun or keep the shades closed for a peaceful night of sleep.
Next to the bedroom is the laundry room with a full washer and dryer. Next to that you will find a spacious full bath.
You will also find a charming library, with three sunroof windows, equipped with great books, toys and puzzles for children and adults alike. Off the library, there is an office nook, with a comfortable built-in work desk with high speed Wi-Fi which allows this room to double as a remote work space.
The second bedroom upstairs has a bunk bed with two full size mattresses and a full size trundle bed. This bedroom has four sunroof windows with shades that you can use at your leisure.
Off the second bedroom there is a secret hallway that houses a small reading nook with two large bean bag chairs and a bookcase.
The final bedroom is at the end of the secret hallway. It has three windows that look out to the beautiful green forest in the backyard. The room is equipped with a king size bed and an electric fireplace.
The Yard
Outside you find beautiful, lush gardens with gorgeous hostas, zinnias, peonies, daffodils and more. You will find an inviting jacuzzi, the perfect place to relax after spending a day at the lake!
In the backyard, the deck with the grill, overlooks a beautiful babbling brook with a charming stone bench under the lush trees. There is a huge yard that includes a children’s swing set and slide.
Guest access
The house, 2-car garage and shed are completely yours during your stay. If gardening is something you love to do, we have all the supplies in the shed.
