THE SPACE:
The Copper Harbor Yellow Cottage features a spacious living space perfect for couples or a couple of couples!
It is a picturesque historic building (originally build in the early 1940's), and the renovation is taking this history into account with a mid-century/modern approach. We aim to foster a fun step-back-in-time with an eclectic design mixed with modern day conveniences. The Cottage has also been winterized, and is available for year-round-rentals!
Here's a quick overview of reno-work done:
- all new kitchen and bath
- wall removal to create open-concept living room/kitchen
- privatization of bedroom, plus new king bed
- refurbishing of hard wood floors throughout
- every wall freshly painted
- all new mid-century modern furnishings and décor (plus, new memory-foam mattress in sofa-bed)
- unique, artisan custom-made white pine furniture pieces
- behind the scenes work such as new windows, new drywall, electrical & plumbing upgrades, spray foam insulation and new heating system
Additionally, our kitchen is well-stocked with all the essentials. You are provided with basics and staples, including a variety of pots, pans, dishes, utensils, oils, spices, coffee, tea, etc. Also have an Instant Pot, Milk Frother and Blender/Food Processor!
Plus, make sure to ask about our new laundry service that we'll be offering exclusively to Solstice Cottage guests!

GUEST ACCESS:
Only those included in your reservation will have access to the Cottage. We welcome to you to make yourselves at home within the entirety of the Cottage, along with its full front deck and side-yard where you'll find a picnic table (grill, too) and a storage shed. The key for this shed is provided to you for your exclusive use -- perfect for bike storage!
Hosts live next door and are readily available.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
NOT A PARTY PLACE! -- Quiet Hours after 11:00 PM (We respectfully ask that this property not be used as a gathering place/basecamp for large groups. Guests are of course welcomed to have guests, though we ask that the number be kept to a minimum – please inquire if you have any questions related to this policy.)
Maximum overnight occupancy 4 persons.
Bike storage available in aforementioned shed. No bikes in Cottage OR on the deck.
No smoking, no pets.
*There is NO PHONE in rental and NO CELL RECEPTION in Copper Harbor. How to "Contact Us" and additional safety info will be found in your booking confirmation and a “Welcome Letter” at rental. NOTE: "Wi-Fi Calling" works best for most of our guests.
