You can explore the cobble stoned streets of Patzcuaro as well as the surrounding towns that are dedicated to creating beautiful artisan textiles, copper, jewelry, furniture and art, and then return to your home for a relaxing time in the master bedroom's jacuzzi or enjoy a glass of wine on the rooftop patio. This house in the old colonial center of Patzcuaro is a fully remodeled home that retained the old colonial design of building a house around the patio. Open the front door and walk up a staircase into what will be your home for as long as you stay in Patzcuaro. You will have the option of choosing from several patios where you can drink the first cup of coffee each morning, eat breakfast or have a glass of wine in the late afternoon or evening.
On the first floor is an outdoor patio that is bordered by two bedrooms, two full bathrooms and a large kitchen with French doors opening onto the patio. The kitchen has all new appliances, cookware, a microwave, coffee maker, dishes and a large wooden table handmade in a nearby town. Off the kitchen is the furnished living room, a glass enclosed walkway that faces the patio and the open wooden staircase to the second floor master bedroom. The second floor master bedroom has a sitting area, the sleeping area, a fireplace and a full bath with a jacuzzi.
From the second floor you can take a short staircase up to the rooftop patio and enjoy the sunrises and sunsets as well as taking the time to gaze at the stars and planets against the black night time sky. In the distance you can see Lake Janitzio and the bell towers of Patzcuaro's old churches. You may even glimpse a cat or two jumping from one rooftop to another. You can look at the surrounding mountains and the gently curving colonial streets from your rooftop perch.
The house includes once a week housekeeping service, linens, towels and the fully equipped kitchen. A parking garage is located just yards away across the street for just a few dollars per week. Parking in front of the house is available during the daytime hours.
