The space
2/1 cabin. Each room is set up like a hotel room with basic amenities & small kitchenette space with sink and counter. Under the sink in the twin bed room there is an electric skillet and a single electric stove burner under the sink in the queen bed room with a smaller deep pan to use. The cabin is equipped with a regular coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge with freezer, and outdoor charcoal grill .There is coffee/filters/creamer/sugar in the cabinets. Updated bathroom. If you forget your own soap/shampoo, I do have a large size of soap and shampoo/conditioner in the shower. Extra toilet paper behind the bathroom door. In the basket there are additional cleaning supplies for the bathroom along with bandaids and emergency toothpaste. Each room is equipped with adequate cleaning supplies & paper towels. The property is 9+ acres. You are able to drive behind the front house and park directly in front of cabin. You have complete access to the whole outdoors areas of the property. There is a fire pit behind the main barn & you are free to pick a few apples when in season. There is a large picnic bench under the awning of the main structure you are free to use. There are a family of 5+ deer that feed there regularly at night fall & lots of wild turkeys that pass by regularly. These are not for hunting. At least no hunting while on our property. There are also bears but I haven’t seen one in a while. Just keep your eyes open if wondering around at night. I personally hunt in the forest which is a few minutes drive from property. To the northwest corner of property there is what I call a star deck. It used to be for zip lining long before we purchased property. It’s a great place to climb up & enjoy the night sky. The top deck does not have a railing on one side so please be careful. Bring a blanket & a hot pot of coffee or cocoa. You may choose to drive close to it by staying on the outskirts of property during colder weather. After you pass barn drive towards the 3 big rocks then turn left. The sky deck will be directly ahead a few hundred feet. It’s also a good spot to do target practice from if you have your own targets. Please do not drive through the property where no previous tire tracks are visible. There are old rv power and water hook ups scattered throughout along with multiple wells. Stay on concrete or gravel drives. To drive to fire pit, drive up to front of barn & stay close to the north side of it to drive behind it & the fire pit will be straight ahead a little to your left and left of the apple grove.
Guest access
There is not any public transportation & everything is in a short driving distance. Unlimited space to park on the property & store trailers or rvs while enjoying your stay.
Other things to note
The cabin is located off of the main road through Glennie, which is M65. We don’t have much traffic but on occasion you will hear louder trucks that are passing by. The speed limit on m65 is 65mph so walking to town isn’t recommended. WiFi is accessible in cabin & within around 30 ft from main house but does not reach throughout all 9 acres. We do have a smart tv connected in cabin but do not have cable service. Netflix yes, regular local channels no.
