This river-view retreat boasts an unbeatable location on the riverfront with access to 1/4 mile of Colorado River frontage and is surrounded by world-class fishing, hunting, hiking, and snowmobiling. There are numerous hiking trails right outside the back door and a dozen ski resorts within a short drive, including Arrowhead (27 miles), Bachelor Gulch (29 miles), Beaver Creek (30 miles), Snowmass (31 miles), Buttermilk, which is home of the X Games (33 miles), and Aspen (35 miles). Just minutes away you will find a wide variety of world-class dining and entertainment. Or, if you are looking for something more family-friendly, there are numerous recreation centers, pools, skate parks, movie theaters, bowling alleys, and pizza parlors.
Downtown Gypsum is eight miles away offering numerous restaurants and coffee shops. Some must-visit attractions include Turtle Tubing, Gypsum Ponds, Gypsum Creek Golf Course, Grizzly Creek Trailhead, Sylvan Lake, Sweetwater Lake, Glenwood Canyon, Hanging Lake, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, Glenwood Hot Springs, and Maroon Bells.
This 45-acre working ranch has a second home, on a second driveway, secluded by trees and shrubs. The property owner is a fifth-generation Colorado rancher. The family lives there and operates the ranch. In season, you may see Angus cattle on the property. During the summer and fall enjoy a range of fruit trees including apples, peaches, cherries, apricots, and plums. There are also serviceberries and buffalo berries. As for our local wildlife, bald eagles cruise up and down the river, wild turkeys roam the property, and deer and elk are frequent visitors. Occasionally, bighorn sheep come down to the river for a drink. There are also bears and mountain lions.
The main level boasts a sunny open floor plan with carpeted floors throughout. Curl up on your favorite sofa, grab a delicious homemade snack, and stream an entertaining movie, show, or sports game on the smart TV in the living room. When mealtime comes, put on the chef's apron and surprise everyone with your culinary skills by preparing exquisite meals and treats for everyone in the well-equipped full kitchen. The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
