We warmly welcome you to the Green Heart, located in a rural area yet very central.
Our apartment offers you the opportunity to relax in nature, with major cities and attractions about 30 km away. A 10-minute drive brings you to Breukelen station, with plenty of parking (P+R) and a direct connection to Amsterdam and Utrecht. By car, you can reach the A2 in 10 minutes. Alternatively, it is a 12-minute drive to Woerden station, which also has P+R and a direct connection to Utrecht, Gouda, Rotterdam, and The Hague.
Enjoy the beautiful surroundings with many walking and cycling routes. The Vinkeveense and Nieuwkoopse lakes are within cycling distance, as is Castle de Haar in Haarzuilens.
Our accommodation is located by the Geer where you can fish well; the fish ponds De Zwaan (900 m), De Grutto (2 km), and De Eend (3.7 km) are nearby. You can also fish well at Bosdijk (3.6 km) or Donkereind (2.8 km).
Visit Castle de Haar (6.8 km) in Haarzuilens, the Vinkeveense Plassen (8.8 km) in Vinkeveen, the Nieuwkoopse Plassen in Nieuwkoop (11 km), or nature reserves De Haeck in Woerdense Verlaat (5.5 km) and De Botshol (8.8 km) in Waverveen.
Our apartments were newly built in 2024, on the site of the former carriage shed and pigsty.
Sustainability is very important to us. Our apartments no longer have a gas connection, and we use a heat pump for heating and cooling. In addition, we have installed 22 solar panels on our roof, which allows us to further reduce our ecological footprint and provide our guests with an eco-friendly stay.
You will stay in the Polderzicht apartment, which features an entrance, a bathroom with toilet, sanitary facilities, and a rain shower on the ground floor.
In the living room, you have access to a complete kitchen including kitchen inventory.
The spacious living room with corner (sofa) bed and dining area has French doors that open onto the terrace.
The terrace, furnished with garden furniture, offers a magnificent view over the polders.
Our apartments are decorated in a rural style, paying attention to authentic details such as the wooden beams, the round window in the side wall and a 'farmhouse' sliding door.
'Polderzicht' offers you:

- Kitchen equipped with fridge/freezer combo, induction cooktop with integrated extraction, dishwasher, air fryer, coffee capsule machine, and kettle.
- Bathroom with rain shower, toilet, bathroom vanity, and hairdryer.

On the mezzanine, accessible via stairs:
- Bedroom with box spring (180 x 200 cm) present on the mezzanine

Furthermore:

Via the stairs you reach the bedroom with king-size bed. There is also a cabinet available where you can store your belongings.
Since the bedroom is located upstairs and can only be accessed by stairs, it is not suitable for the disabled and wheelchair users.
We do not serve breakfast. However, we can provide ingredients for you to prepare your own breakfast for €12.50 per person. Please inform us of your breakfast preferences 2 days before your arrival, and we will go shopping for you.
About 1500 meters away is Paviljoentoren De Grote Sniep, located on Veenkade. From Wednesday to Sunday, you can enjoy a delicious lunch or homemade cake here and climb up for a 360-degree view of the beautiful surroundings. De Grote Sniep is open when the flag is raised.
At Eiland van Hein (1500 meters away), you can enjoy a nice lunch or ice cream from Tuesday to Sunday. Renting a sup, boat, canoe, or kayak is also an option. Eiland van Hein is a Tourist Transfer Point.
You can hit a ball at Golf Course Wilnis (2.7 km), at Buitenplaats Kamerijck (3.7 km) you can play pitch & putt, take a look at the petting zoo, or have a bite to eat in the restaurant. From Wednesday to Sunday you can dine here, while the restaurant closes at 5 PM on Mondays and Tuesdays.
