Get away and get unplugged. Relax on the lake, enjoy a small town, and experience all the Northeast Kingdom has to offer.
This home has 6 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. One bedroom on the first floor connected to the full bath with sliding glass door to private porch facing the lake. Downstairs there is also the kitchen, dining room, living room with fireplace, and a grand covered porch. Upstairs there are five other bedrooms and a half bath. The home sleeps ten people comfortably. Our lake house has a phone and wireless internet along with lake access with a private dock, kayaks, paddle board, and a floating dock. This house is a family heirloom and treasure for over three generations. We welcome guests who will respect and honor our home while enjoying all that the Northeast VT has to offer.
The town of Greensboro has a vibrant summer community with a family-friendly golf and tennis club at Mountain View Country Club, Willey’s famous General Store, Jasper Hill and other artisan cheese makers, the Hill Farmstead Brewery, Sunday evening lake concerts, the Barr Hill Nature Preserve, Farmers Market, The Craftsbury Chamber Music Series, and Circus Smirkus. Summary: When people use the phrase, "a simpler time" it seems like a remote and peaceful way of living that might be forever lost in time. However, when you are this lake house you truly feel like you have stepped back to a time or place where life is less complicated. This historic property is very comfortable and welcoming. The view is spectacular and you can literally jump right into the picture perfect scenery by leaping off the dock at the end of the yard. The water is soft and clean feeling. It is largely peaceful but for the greeting of a neighbor paddling by on a kayak. By the way, with your stay you get access to a stand-up paddleboard as well as a kayak which fits two. Additionally, you can spend hours of fun on the floating trampoline and obstacles. Feeling lazy? Just lie down on the floating mat and let the cool water lap at your limbs. The lake breezes blow through the rustic cabin which can house quite a few friends or family who take the trip with you. There are multiple places to curl up and read a book including a swinging bed on the porch which overlooks the lake. If you happen to use a kindle, fret not because there is WiFi on site. Puzzles and games are left for guests to use during the evenings or in the event of a passing rain shower. Lastly, the large dining table accommodated both big dinners and rousing card games for our whole group. My family truly enjoyed our 3 generation trip to Lake Caspian. And, I hope you will too!
