The Space:
The living room at Church View Cottage exudes a spacious and airy feel. The space features a large leather corner sofa and a separate matching two-seater settee, as well as a flat-screen Freeview TV, ideal for cosy nights in with your loved ones.
Church View Cottage is home to a traditional kitchen with modern appliances, perfect for cooking a love meal for you and your group. The space also has a wooden dining table with matching chairs to provide seating for all of your group. The room is also home to a log burning fireplace.
The first bedroom at Church View Cottage is a large and spacious room with a king-size bed. It also contains a sofa bed which can be made up upon request giving you the opportunity to accommodate more guests in your group as this will increase the occupancy to eight. The ensuite bathroom is fitted with a shower, wash basin and WC.
Church View Cottage’s second and third bedrooms are both cosy and comfortable spaces with super-king size beds. Both beds can be split into two singles upon request to provide plenty of options for guests.
The family bathroom is appointed with a bathtub, a WC, and a wash basin.
The outdoor space on offer at Church View Cottage comes in the form of a small but pleasant front yard that is great for stepping out to take in the fresh air.
Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe box, details of which will be provided prior to your stay.
Free on-street parking is available at the side of the property.
The Neighborhood:
Easington offers amenities right on your doorstep, including a cafe & farm shop and a pub.
Just a mile down the road is the small, family friendly town of Loftus which has independent shops and amenities including the award winning Willow Cake Shop, Wold Pottery for arts and crafts and a micro gin bar. If you’re looking to get active during your stay, join the infamous 100 mile long Cleveland Way Trail or venture to Staithes along Boulby Cliffs which is the highest cliff on the east coast! Loftus is also an ideal base for cycling as you will find the Tour de Yorkshire and the Klondike pass by at the end of the road. If you want to partake in cycling yourself, there are plenty of uphill climbs to get your heart racing!
The gorgeous seaside town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea is just a short 15 minute drive away. Here you’ll find golden sandy shores and a bustling town centre. You can take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade where you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The beach is overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts, a fish restaurant, arcades and a surf shop making it the ideal spot for a day at the seaside.
Also close to Easington is the charming fishing village of Staithes. The quaint coastal hamlet was recently named one of Britain’s most beautiful seaside villages. It has high cliffs, winding streets and mismatched cottages bursting with charm. Staithes is a magnet for art and artists alike. Throughout the village you’ll find amazing painted illusions known as the ‘Painted Illusions Trail’ created by the famous artist Paul Czainski. It is also the home to the impressionist art society, known as Staithes Group, and their work can always be seen dotted around. Getting Around:
Easington is within a short driving distance of all that the area has to offer. It is within 15 minutes’ drive time of Saltburn and Staithes, and 30 minutes’ drive time Whitby so the coast can be easily explored.
The closest train station is located in Saltburn and has routes to Longbeck, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Darlington with connecting trains to Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester and London.
There are a number of bus routes throughout Easington. Hop on the Arriva North East 5 which travels through to Middlesbrough. If you want to explore the coast, take the X4 route and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Runswick Bay, Sandsend and Whitby.
