To the south, the cities of Aveiro, Coimbra and Figueira das Foz are less than an hour's drive away. To the north, besides the cities of Porto and Espinho (very close by train or car), the cities of Póvoa de Varzim, Vila do Conde, Braga, Guimarães, Viana do Castelo less than an hour by car.
The border of Spain and Vigo is just over an hour by car.
