This private, unique cabin is situated on a small working ranch 15 miles east of Deming. The cabin has beautiful views of the Florida and the Little Florida range. The stars are generally spectacular at night and stargazing is usually very good here. It's an ideal weekend destination, overnight stopover or artist retreat. The space

The cabin is located on our Lazy KO Ranch and situated with beautiful views of the Little Florida range. The cabin is an airy 400 sq. foot private space. It's warm and inviting with it's wood paneling and ceramic tile floor. There are lots of wall sconces and a beautiful copper light and fan fixture in the center area to provide soft, relaxing lighting. The cabin is decorated primarily in a Southwest style.
We have just completed the new, attatched kitchen and full bathroom with tub/shower, stove, refrigerator, sink, etc. We supply all the amenities you may need such as fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, pots, pans, dishes, etc.
Bedding is always fresh and an electric blanket is available for those colder winter nights. With a central ceiling circulating fan, and mini-split air conditioner with heater, the cabin should always be comfortable no matter what the weather is.
A high-definition 60” flat screen television provides entertainment as well. Wi-fi is also provided along with a table for your laptop or tablet. The WiFi was just updated to Starlink, so we are expecting great things and speeds from it. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, waffle iron, pancake griddle.
A 7.5 cu ft beverage refrigerator with freezer is stocked with a variety of water and cold drinks for our guests enjoyment. A Kuerig machine is available and stocked with a variety of coffee, teas and hot chocolate. The cabin also has a large microwave for those needing one.
We are pet-friendly and welcome our four-legged guests. We also offer a unique service for those traveling with horses, mules and donkeys. We offer horse motel service with large and small paddocks/pens available for those needing accommodations for their large, medium or small farm type animals for a small additional charge.
Guest access
Getting to the LazyKo is easy on a paved road with easy on off access to I-10 east or west without adding distance to your trip. We are on old State Highway 549, which was used before I-10 was built. Excellent restaurants are 5.5 miles (Apache Homelands) and 3.5 miles (Adobe Deli) away. Deming is 15 miles from the LazyKo with many restaurants and lots of shopping to choose from.
Our circular drive provides easy turn around for trucks and RVs as well as horse trailers of any size. There is plenty of parking space for trucks and trailers. No back up needed.
Guests are able to access most parts of the property for enjoyable walks. There is a 30 x 75 ft pet run for your pets to enjoy. There are nineteen fenced acres and a gate to over 700 acres of sand dunes and 3500 acres of open range land, but not all is accessible due to thick areas of Mesquite. We have horses, miniature horses, donkeys, goats, a peacock and dogs that guests can interact with too, if they care to. We also offer access to a jacuzzi (which is a hot tub in winter and a cool tub (88 degrees) in summer, no children in jacuzzi as clothing is optional) as well as a small gym with elliptical machine, stationary bike and inversion table.

We have 1 horse, 2 miniature horses, 2 donkeys, 5 Nygerian Dwarf goats, 2 peacocks, 29 guinea fowl, 3 pigs, 6 miniature Texas Longhorn cattle, 10 alpacas, a Llama, a rhea and several friendly dogs for you to interact with. You can pet them or give them treats that we can provide for you.
An excellent restaurant is just down the road (4 miles) called The Adobe Deli Steakhouse. People drive the 100 miles from El Paso, TX to eat there. The award winning Lescomb’s Winery (formerly St Claire Winery) is about eight miles West from us and is open daily for tastings and sales. 6 State Parks are within an hours drive. The closest is 15 mins.
Excellent star gazing with very low light pollution where the ranch is located. The sunsets here are generally spectacular and are “the norm” rather then an occasional surprise. If possible, don’t miss it. The stunning colors and spectacular views combine to form a once in a lifetime opportunity that everyone is sure to appreciate and enjoy. Please note that you are visiting a working ranch and though we try to limit the noise, dust and activities, there may be activities taking place during your stay.
