This charming accommodation has been tastefully decorated by Casey/KC Godrie with designer furniture from his shop Bebob Design Amsterdam and is superbly centrally located, surrounded by terraces and all the highlights of Breda.
This superbly centrally located, industrial-style loft, dating back to 1897, is situated on the second floor at the rear. Featuring authentic wood and stone, this loft boasts open-plan architecture and has recently been fully restored and/or renovated, including a bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink; an open-plan kitchen with two separate induction cooktops and an oven; a separate sleeping area on an open loft with a double bed (200 x 140 cm); and two double sofa beds in the living room: one in the sitting area (195 cm x 135 cm) and one (200 cm x 140 cm) opposite the bathroom, along with two (folding) mattresses. The beautiful wooden beams of the roof structure were left exposed during the restoration and renovation of this loft. The loft is located on the second (and top) floor, at the rear, with a beautiful view of the Grote Kerk (Great Church) on the nearby Grote Markt (Market Square). It is situated in a historic stepped gable building dating from 1897. The ground floor is occupied by Café Dok 19, a leading café with a (heated) terrace, situated on the waterfront and enjoying plenty of afternoon sunshine.
Pigeons live in the old town center, and they can often be heard inside the building. The cooing and the beating of the nearby large church tower are part of the city sounds, along with the sounds of the terrace and music, sometimes live, in the surrounding area. The basic sleeping accommodation, the double bed, is located on the mezzanine, where you'll find a truly romantic sleeping spot in a wooden tent-like structure under the tiled roof, insulated from the outside. Naturally, this means you'll hear the sounds of the surrounding area more than you would in the plastered living room and kitchen.
Our accommodation is ideally located for a visit to Breda, where restaurants, shops, and historical highlights are central.
