Sleeping up to 20 in the comfiest, cleanest bedding on the mountain, you'll need to pinch yourself to get out of bed to enjoy the great outdoors of over 6 private acres on 500 feet of riverfront. Every year we have guests returning, making Little River Harmony part of their go-to gathering tradition.
Our home is jam-packed with love and joy and ready for more. Mark and I and our four children, worked many long hours / months / years to bring this home into reality. Built from the ground up when our kids were ripe for hands-on learning (aged 7-13), we strove to remember every detail that makes a house a home for busy families or groups to enjoy. When you walk through the door, we hope to make you smile as your heart skips a beat.
Beautifully situated on the bluff overlooking over 500 feet of riverfront, your private playground quickly brings you back to nature. Your adventure begins as you drive down the 1000 foot meandering lane on the 6 wooded acres on the Little River atop Lookout Mountain. Suddenly your cares wash away.
But with Free Wifi you'll just be a click away in case you need to snap out of it for a minute or two!
Constructed of full 6 x 12 logs, this home exudes a rustic calm with all the modern conveniences. Designed to accommodate large families/groups needing to reconnect, laugh and relax.
Two canoes available for your use too! (see video)Heads up: The river in the summer (July and August) is at it's lowest. It can be hard to navigate especially in August. There are high and low spots throughout though, so our kids have always had a fun time exploring and cruising to the swimming holes!
THE DETAILSLittle River Harmony is comprised of two distinct living areas in a three level house. It’s the perfect solution for your family reunion or large gathering where you’d like a little extra privacy but still want to be in the same house.
The main floor and second floor is the area we call DC al Fine. Just down a flight is our cozy lower level suite we call Pizzicato; perfect for grandparents or a small family that wants to have a little down time during the day but will still be close to the action!
The main area sleeps up to 14 in two king bedrooms on the main floor with two separate full baths. Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with two sets of very comfortable bunks, along with a full bath and a half bath. A queen sofa sleeper / air mattress in the loft rounds out the accommodations to up to 14.
Equally as lovely and cozy, is our lower level suite. It sleeps up to 6 people with 2 queen sized beds, each in separate sleeping areas that are curtained off for privacy. In addition, a comfortable queen sleeper sofa / air mattress provides added sleeping accommodations. A full kitchen and bath, along with a gorgeous 3-sided gas fireplace brings this unit to cozy comfort.
BONUS! We top all our beds with heavenly duvets and freshly washed covers with every new guest. No more wondering when the bedspread was last washed!
Wi-fi and satellite tv keeps you connected to the world. A nice collection of DVDs and board games entertain, 'weather permitting'! (Enjoy the outdoors!) Blutooth connection to our stereo system and wired speaker system keeps the harmony flowing!
