Residence of historical interest in a renowned holiday resort since the 9th century Bc, Villa Templaria is immersed in the green of the beautiful hills of Viterbo, surrounded by plane trees and majestic holm oaks.
First restored to its former glory with restoration works designed by the Prince of San Severo Guido d'Aquino di Caramanico and, after his death, by his son Filippo who continued the recovery with the advice of the artist Cesare Barro, the Villa dates back to its historical part, even in the fifteenth century. Attached to the house is the oldest church in Tuscia.
In this old farmhouse it seems that the knights of the Order of Malta carried out their work of assistance to pilgrims until the Napoleonic occupation of the island of Malta, in 1798, which saw the property being sold to some local feudal lords. Over the centuries it has undergone various changes but the latest restoration has brought it back to its original beauty. In the great hall you will find the very original main beams that support the roof as well as intact and original are the squares of the external windows and internal doors made of peperino marble.
The property has 3 suites and 1 cottage. The three suites are elegantly furnished. Wrought iron beds, tables and antique furniture give the rooms a unique charm. All suites consist of a seating area and a private bathroom with bathtub or shower. They are also complemented by a common area consisting of a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge and a courtesy bathroom.
The mix of ancient and modern of one of the three suites creates a very refined atmosphere that can be easily adorned on request to create a romantic and suggestive environment, illuminated by the burning flames of scented candles that will light up at dusk. Nothing more enchanting!
The other two suites dedicated to prominent personalities who leave their presence here through copies of authentic books and other works of art are also marvelously beautiful.
Inside the house there is also a large library that holds a collection of rare and one-of-a-kind books.
Finally, the dependance immersed in a lush natural landscape with fruit and hazelnut trees, which also frame the swimming pool where you can relax in an atmosphere of absolute relaxation and far from the chaos of the city. It is a large 60 square meter open space with kitchen, living room, private bathroom with shower, double bed and veranda where you can enjoy a romantic landscape.
The large garden with a salt water swimming pool and many plants is beautiful and well-kept on the outside. The flower beds of lavender essence give a unique charm to this very particular location.
