Villa Lya is a splendid Art Nouveau villa, renovated keeping intact its original flavor, in the heart of our history, art and culture and immersed in places of natural charm.
The villa, located on the ridge of a hill just outside Arezzo, was purchased by the grandfather of the current owners at the beginning of the last century and has since been the residence of the family.
It is furnished with precious antique furniture and its ceilings have wooden beams while the floors are original of the era.
On the ground floor there is a large living / dining room with fireplace, a large fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom.
Both the dining room and the kitchen open onto a huge covered and furnished terrace.
The wooden staircase leads from the living room to the upper floor, where there are 2 double bedrooms and 2 double bedrooms whose beds can be joined if required. A cot is also available for very young children.
Two rooms have a private bathroom. The third and fourth have a shared bathroom.
The Villa has a private swimming pool (12x6 m) and is surrounded by a garden (with built-in barbecue) and a grove of pines, holm-oaks and lindens, ideal for an afternoon snooze.
Located in the heart of Tuscany, the Villa is very close to the main tourist destinations of the region. In less than an hour driving you can reach precious jewels like Florence, Cortona (30 minutes), Lake Trasimeno, Montepulciano, Pienza, Siena, the hills of Chianti, Perugia, Assisi, Gubbio, Orvieto and the famous four valleys of Arezzo (Valdichiana, Valdarno, Valtiberina, Casentino).
Without forgetting, of course, Arezzo, which is only 10 minutes away, famous for its monuments and for the Antiques Fair held every first Sunday of the month, as well as for the Giostra del Saracino in August and September, historical competition in costume among the four districts of the city.
Sansepolcro, birthplace of Piero della Francesca, where you can admire some of his most famous paintings and Caprese, where the great Michelangelo was born, are only 40 minutes away.
The nearest shop where you can buy essential items is about a kilometer away. The nearest town is Arezzo, which offers a great variety of shops, bars, restaurants and services: hospital, post office, banks, railway station.
Use of a car is recommended.
