Located in one of Soller’s most charming neighborhoods, Alqueria del Compte, this impressive three-story house is less than 10 minutes walk to the town square with its popular Saturday Farmers Market and 100-year-old tram.
Villa del Conde was lovingly and extensively renovated in 2018. The renovation was done with great care to retain the charm of the original house (actually 2 houses, joined together in the 1950´s), whilst providing guests with all the comforts and luxuries expected in this level of rented accommodation. The interior design is elegant and understated, stone floors, light woods and soft furnishings in Mediterranean shades of white, blues and grey.
Some of the rooms have the original hydraulic floor tiles, high ceilings with intricate moldings, and most of the original timber door frames. All are part of the history of the villa and live in perfect harmony with the more contemporary design elements. Villa del Conde offers guests 6 double bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. All bedrooms are equipped with individual heating and air conditioning units, and the ground floor has under floor heating and a log fire for the winter months.
The entrance from the street is in the typical Mallorquin style, with high ceilings and the original stunning staircase that connects the three floors. The top floor has 2 huge Master Suites with king sized beds, a sitting area and an en suite bathroom with free standing bath and separate walk-in shower.
The middle floor has 4 bedrooms (all can be either King sized beds or divided in to 2 single beds) and 3 bathrooms. 2 bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and the other 2 bedrooms share a bathroom with bath and shower. One bedroom leads out onto a large terrace with soft seating areas and sun loungers – and wonderful views of the mountains and the valley. There is also a sitting area for relaxing on this level – with TV and plenty of books and DVDs.
The ground floor has a comfortable and spacious living room with a fireplace and a TV with international channels, a large dining room that seats 12 and is connected to that a fully equipped modern kitchen with plenty of morning light. The kitchen and the dining room both lead out onto the central courtyard which is one of the many joys of Villa del Conde. The outdoor table seats up to 16 people and feels like one is in a private Spanish village square with spectacular views to the mountains. A few steps from the courtyard lead onto the swimming pool (which can be heated from 1st April - 31st October. for a. cost of 500€) surrounded by a stone terrace with ample sun loungers, a large American style barbecue and comfy chairs and sofas for truly unwinding and enjoying your holiday.
The garden has a lawn area surrounded by aromatic herbs, an orchard with fruit and avocado trees and right at the back of the property an electronic gate which allows you to enter from the rear street to on site parking for 3 cars.
The house layout flows perfectly and makes it an ideal holiday home for two or three families to share, or a large group of friends of up to 12 people.
