Perched up high this amazing property is private but provides views and a welcoming coastal breeze (no need for a/c!). Whether taking some zen time by the fish pond, taking a dip in the pool, sitting by the bar with fire pit or playing corn hole, there is something for everyone. This beautiful coastal retreat with some ocean views has an easygoing indoor/outdoor layout with plenty of room for large family gatherings. Close to everything Carlsbad has to offer... Beach, Village, Legoland and walking distance to the lagoon offering multiple water sports including jet skis and paddleboards.
Kitchen - Fully stocked, all you will need is food which can be purchased for you for an additional fee! A double convection oven, microwave, multiple appliances including blender and kitchenaid mixer along with a Keurig coffee maker with complimentary starter pack of coffee pods. A unique feature to this kitchen is a fireplace which is original to the home.
Living Room - 86" tv for the ultimate viewing experience with access to Netflix and Apple TV. Large patio doors lead to the pool. On extra hot days watching TV while in the pool is an option!
Dining Room - Spacious with high ceilings and includes a seating nook with large fireplace. The dining table accommodates up to 12 next to a large patio door that leads out to a deck with water feature. There is also a piano and guitar for those musically inclined.
Master bedroom - located on the second floor featuring a king size bed, walk in closet and en-suite bathroom. Ocean views and private.
Upstairs Den - Located adjacent to the master bedroom this den has a sectional with pull-out queen size bed, a television and separate area that can be used as an office or make-up spot. This room also features a large closet to store all of your bags during your stay or any extra items. Ocean views and amazing sunset views can be had.
Bedroom 2 - Features a queen size bed, closet and patio doors that open to a seated area with a small fish pond with water feature, this is a great space for morning coffee/reading and yoga.
Bedroom 3 - Features a full size bed with large closet and lighted make-up/desk area.
Bedroom 4 - Features one full size and one twin size bed along with a walk in closet.
Bathroom 2 - Newly renovated this bathroom features a shower/bath tub, sink and toilet.
Bathroom 3 - Newly renovated and featuring a shower, sink and toilet.
Outside areas.
Pool and Hot Tub- A recently installed pool with baja shelf and raised spa that are completely private. The pool is solar heated, if staying between the months of June and September the pool will be plenty warm. Outside of those months if you would like to supplement the pool temperature we will require payment of $100/day to offset the high price of gas heating. There is no additional charge for heating the hot tub. We provide pool toys for your use during your stay.
Outside Bar - Located on a raised private deck along with lounge seating and gas fire table. The bar has a fridge to keep refreshments chilled. This is the ultimate place to unwind after a fun filled day.
Outside Dining - Dining table for 6 with umbrella and built in BBQ.
Garden area - A large artificial turf yard with seating area and fish pond. This is a great place for a game of corn hole, Giant Jenga or to relax listening to the water feature and becoming friends with the fish in the fish pond. There is also exercise equipment including weights and yoga mats along with rock holds for pull-ups!
Complimentary use of boogie boards and pool toys. If available arrangements can be made for complimentary use of two stand up paddle boards at the lagoon.
Carlsbad is located thirty minutes north of San Diego where you can visit Museums, Balboa Park, and San Diego Zoo to name a few.
All bookings will also have the option to book a cabin in Big Bear located in the San Bernardino mountains for a discount (if available). This will allow the ultimate Southern California experience of beach and mountains, please note however the Big Bear cabin has a maximum occupancy of 6.
PLEASE NOTE: The pool does not have a safety gate and is easily accessed from multiple areas of the house. This property is not suitable for non-swimmers/toddlers or crawling infants. All guests must be "water safe".
Parking - There are two parking spaces in front of our garage at the top of the driveway, however, parking can be tight for two cars. The property shares a driveway with the neighboring house so please do not block the driveway at any time. There is plenty of street parking at the base of the driveway in the cul-d-sac for additional vehicles. The garage is locked for owner use.
Per City of Carlsbad ordinance "Any disturbing, excessive, or offensive noises, including amplified or reproduced sound outside or audible from the property line unit shall be prohibited between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m". Any guest violating this policy will automatically receive a fine of up to $500.
