Summary: The views from this house are undeniably beautiful. The neighborhood is lovely and the access to the Rubicon trails are perfect. It feels remote, but you still have easy access to Tahoe City and South Lake Tahoe. However, I’m not sure I would ever rent another property manager by Vacasa. We called and emailed to ask about whether this property had a pack n play (for a baby to sleep in). We were advised it did not. I then called and asked if we could gift the owners with one and ship it directly to the house in advance of our stay. No one returned our call. We then were unable to pick one up from Reno Target and decided the best choice was to just take ours as a checked bag. The checked bag fee is $60 round trip. There was in fact 2 pack n plays at the house. I would LOVE for someone to reimburse me for the total failure in communication. When we arrived, the internet didn’t work and I had texted Mel from Vacasa about this with zero response. We then called the after hours number and a message was sent to Reid. Reid was very helpful and came to help us within a few hours to fix the internet. While I found Reid helpful, the whole system is Vacasa just convoluted the request for help. I just asked about a Kindle I left behind in a pretty obvious place and didn’t get a clear answer. I’m not sure if/when I’ll get it back. Going to try to call again tomorrow. But it’s so difficult to communicate anything to anyone at Vacasa. Down $60 for checking a pack n play unnecessarily and now $180 for a Kindle.
