On the top of a hill just outside Florence lies Torre Bensa, an old medieval lookout post of the Florentine Signoria guarding the Arno valley that stretches from Florence to the sea at Pisa. Since then, the property has undergone many changes and has been utilised in many ways up until today, when careful restoration by the owner, a professional in this sector, has created this welcoming tourist residence with a unique panorama that extends, on clear days, up to the towns of the Tyrrhenian coast. When you stay in this tower you will find yourself surrounded by the classic Tuscan vegetation that ranges from the rows of vines producing the delicious red wine of the area, to a large olive grove, cypress trees and the various aromas of fragrant herbs. Entering from the portico that surrounds half the building, you come to the classic layout of a tower house with an open-plan area with kitchen, dining area and TV corner with sofa. A staircase of Tuscan walnut wood leads up to the first floor where the first thing you will see is an old arch leading to one of the two double bedrooms; also on this floor is the bathroom with shower. Guests who choose this property can relax in the newly-built swimming pool, located just a few metres from the house in a raised, panoramic position, or in the shaded living area while sipping an apéritif and savouring the flavours of the Tuscan countryside. The strategic location of this property allows you to get quickly to the main tourist spots such as Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Siena, Montecatini Terme as well as to the Tyrrhenian coast with the famous golden beaches of Versilia, with the pearl, Forte dei Marmi, without forgetting the renowned Cinque Terre. The villa is also an excellent starting point for golfers, with the nearby Montelupo Golf Club set on the bank of the river Arno, or for wellness devotees who can get to Grotta Giusti, with its thermal baths in the cave, or to Casciana Terme, with its outdoor thermal pool, in about 45 minutes.
Interior:
The property has two floors. On the ground floor the entrance from the portico in front of house leads into the dining area with kitchenette adjoining the living room with 2 sofas for 4 people with TV corner. A wooden staircase leads up to the first floor with the sleeping area composed of two double bedrooms (one with divisible bed) and a bathroom with shower.

Park:
Torre Bensa is surrounded by a garden of 1500 sq m, completely fenced and bordered along the perimeter by lush hedges guarateeing privacy, especially in the pool area. After the entrance gate, a gravel driveway lined with cypress trees leads to the parking area, located conveniently close to the entrance to the tower. Outside the house is a lawn in which a delightful swimming pool is set, complete with outdoor furniture, next to which is a shady pergola with an attractive living area where you can relax while enjoying a cocktail. Under the shaded portico that surrounds two sides of the tower, communicating with the kitchen, is a wooden table and barbecue where you can eat outdoors in comfort.Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The swimming pool, set in the green lawn, offers guests a unique view of the rolling Florentine hills and is located in a raised area on the front of the tower and a few metres from the entrance. It is rectangular with a recessed corner with Roman steps for access to the water and with hydromassage jets; lined in sand-coloured PVC with travertine border, it measures 4 x 8 m with a constant depth of 1.40 m and has salt purification, interior lighting and a hot-water, solar-powered shower. Surrounding the pool is the sunbathing area in travertine equipped with comfortable sunbeds and two armchairs with a small table shaded by an umbrella. The pool is open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October
