A creative flat in the heart of Thomas, WV. This apartment is located central to our town providing a minutes walk to the businesses of Front St. Five galleries, TipTop (WV's best Coffeeshop), retail, restaurants, and the famed Purple Fiddle music venue are all right out the door.
The space is simple, functional, thoughtful, clean and carefully decorated from our own spaces, Bloom and Creature in Thomas (in the same building).
This apartment was renovated top to bottom and finished in 2022. It’s simplicity and charm is designed to inspire anyone who uses it.
Enjoy our this private apartment for it’s rain shower head, high-speed wifi, comfy bed, on demand hot water, complimentary coffee (french press!) and full kitchen with copper countertops.
The apartment is located in the back of the Benedetto Building above both Bloom and Creature, two gems of the art scene here in Thomas. The space is designed and run by the owner of Bloom.
Apart from having the offerings of Front Street, Thomas at your fingertips, you're literally steps from the rail trail which leads you into the Monongahela National Forest which leads down into an Appalachian canyon trail.
A five minute drive will put you squarely in the town of Davis which boasts its own charm of breweries and restaurants.
Please note that this space is above a business and below a tenant. For that reason, you will hear music from below during business hours and occasionally the tenant above. The 100 year old building itself is fairly noise permeable. While this unit is a stand alone, newly finished, private and insulated, think of it more as tenement building lodging. Additionally, our long term residents are artists, musicians and our friends. They have patios, gatherings, music making sessions and the occasional porch talk lasting into the wee hours of the morning. Some of our long term residents keep late hours regularly while others have families with young children. That being said, we have a respectful community and these varying schedules means that during the late hours, folks try their best to not keep anyone up. And of course, we ask the same of our guests.
Please consider this when booking. If you are sensitive to noise or a light sleeper this may not be the unit for you.
Folks seeking a highly polished vacation rental with TV’s, this isn't for you. This place is designed for those looking to make dinners or walk to restaurants, while being a launching pad to explore Thomas and it’s surroundings.
The neighborhood is very safe and each of our neighbors are our beloved friends!
The entire apartment is private. Access to the front door leads you past the apartments of the long term residents of the building.
PARKING
We have TWO LOCATIONS for parking. Both are explained in the videos to follow after booking. Please note that both involve walking up and down stairs to access the unit, and some people find it hard.
KITCHEN
It is equipped with an oven, toaster, microwave, coffeemaker & grinder, and essentials. We do not stock it with any food or drink apart from coffee.
PRICING
The price of the tribute is as low as we can have it to keep offering the space as an airbnb while giving a good wage to our friends who maintain the cleanliness of the space.
LOUDNESS
There is a business below the unit which plays music throughout the day. You will likely hear it. There is also a tenant above, and you may hear them from time to time.
OTHER THINGS
In the tribute, there is a locked door which leads to the back half of this apartment that isn't renovated. This area is off limits for airbnb guests.
We don't allow pets. The Tribute is not a spot to party. You'll have neighbors beside and under you, and we have quiet hours after 11pm.
US Cellular service works best. Most other cell services have spotty service.
There is no TV in the tribute.
