The G.O.A.T. House, located just a few miles from Lansing Capital Region International Airport, offers endless amenities for entertainment, relaxation, work, exercise, and more. With 42 smart lights controllable through the Philips Hue app on the local network, you can easily change the vibe of any room. Note: goats not included! 🤣
The space
I created The G.O.A.T. House because I enjoy creating unique and experience-driven spaces. It looks average from the outside, but the inside presents a tremendous amount of detail, thoughtfulness, workmanship, intelligence, and logic.
Completely remodeled in 2020, The G.O.A.T. House features Brazilian cherry wood flooring throughout most of the main level, brand new carpet, brand new windows, and a surplus of natural light throughout the home. Change the vibe in any room with 42 individually controllable smart lights that you may color-change after downloading the Philips Hue app to your phone on the local network.
The living room boasts a cozy gas fireplace along with a very large set of windows looking into the backyard. The entertainment system is state-of-the-art for movie watching and music listening as there are 5 Bowers & Wilkins in-wall speakers, a large OLED TV, and an Integra receiver to enable more autonomous control.
The office on the main level features a large L-shaped desk and a cabinet with drawers to enable storage optimization. The view outside from the office is sure to provide a peaceful backdrop while you maximize productivity.
The kitchen is a chef's dream with a built-in exhaust fan for the stove that rises at the touch of a button, stainless steel appliances, a mobile prep cart to optimize time/space, a white wine fridge, and a large pantry with storage. A half bathroom off the kitchen allows for easy and quick access through the pantry area. The dining room sits adjacent to the kitchen island and offers plenty of open space to congregate as a group, as there is seating for up to 13 diners between inside and outside options.
The full bathroom on the main level is gorgeously designed to include a jacuzzi bathtub and rain shower, along with custom lighting options to set a relaxing mood. A beer can/wine glass holder is affixed to the tub door.
Three bedrooms on the main level offer king, queen, and full bed arrangements, and the couch & chair combination in the living room adds another 3 spaces for at least sleepers on the main level.
The lower level offers a gym complete with a weight bench, treadmill, and stretching area. The 4th bedroom located on the lower level offers both a king bed (combined twin beds) and a full bed. An attached full bathroom will be sure to provide convenience and relaxation with its 2-person infrared hot sauna. A full washer and dryer reside in the basement along with a bamboo clothes folding station.
This house is both pet-friendly ($75 non-refundable pet fee) and infant-friendly! An "Invisible Fence" brand dog door enables your pup(s) to go outside into the fenced-in backyard to play or potty but you are required to please clean up your dog's poop! A portable crib, high chair, plastic outlet covers, a bath thermometer, noise machines, table corner guards, and mini-LED night lights are always on hand so you don't have to haul yours on this trip to The G.O.A.T. House! (Note: Guests are fully responsible for the safety and wellbeing of children, animals, and other guests)
Other things to note
This house receives regular maintenance and service. For example, there may be a TruGreen person there from time to time to treat the yard, and mowing also may take place during your stay. You are not expected to have to deal with any of these individuals but I expect it will not be a problem for these things to continue during your stay unless you tell me otherwise in advance.
