Kick back & relax. Have a boat? We have a dock! Cozy, bright, clean, very chic, and perfect for guests who like a little luxury.
Love to cook or bake? No problem! We have everything you need in the beautiful, full kitchen. Want to eat out? There are plenty of restaurants around the lake. There's also a gas grill and party barn, complete with outdoor dining. And don't forget the best ice cream in town at historic Weldon's for dessert! (They close for the winter mid-November).
If you have a boat there is a brand-new dock that can accommodate up to 2 boats, or 1 boat, and some smaller water toys. You must let us know if you are bringing a boat the day you book.
Whether you want to chill with friends and family, fish from the canal, or use your boat, this upscale cottage is ideal for pleasure seekers.
There are some games in the house and cornhole in the party barn. Under NO circumstances can the paddle board be taken off of the side of the house. It is decor only.
Other things to note:
- The house can sleep 6 comfortably when sharing rooms. There are 3 beds, one queen, one king, and one full with a trundle. Because of the trundle, this room can sleep 2 comfortably. Guests are NOT encouraged to sleep on the couches.
- there is an outdoor camera by the door and on the back of the house for your safety.
- The Party Barn is available for use during the Spring, Summer, and Fall months. Please be careful with the doors. They are very sensitive and slide off track easily. If they do fall off track they are easy to put back on by lifting the door and realigning.
- Stairs lead to the second-floor bedrooms
- Washer and dryer are available for stays that are longer than 4 days. Please ask the host for the location of the key the washer and dryer are needed.
- The Key Entry Our biggest concern is the safety of our guests. For this reason, we have installed what we believe to be the best and safest key entry system available on the market. It requires a little “extra”, but we think you’ll appreciate the additional safety measures. Keypad operation will be sent on the day of your arrival. Once you get your code, you enter it and then hit #. It's easy, but the door does shut behind you so ALL guests should have the code. TIP: have guests enter Terrace Retreat as a contact on their phones and enter the code in the address. This will allow them easy access to the code when needed.
- If you need access to the washer and dryer please contact the host and she will share where you can find the key. Under NO circumstances should anyone under 21 years old have access to the utility room.
- Outside Lighting All outdoor lighting is solar, except for the front door light and the sconce lights on the patio. Unfortunately, at this time, the 2 sconce lights on the patio do not work. This will be corrected by Mid-June. For now, there are plenty of solar lights to brighten up your relaxed evenings and guide you to where you need to be.
-Ceiling Fans • Downstairs TV Area: Does not work • First-floor bedroom: Remote • 2nd floor Full Bedroom with Trundle: Remote • 2nd floor King/Balcony bedroom: NO REMOTE. The ceiling light and fan go on and off at the same time. A floor fan is in the room to cool off during hot summer nights.
(Note: It tends to get hot upstairs. Please feel free to turn up the AC and turn on the fans. Some summer and fall nights you can feel free to open windows and screen doors.)
- During the spring, summer and fall, our lawn is typically done on Wednesdays between 3 - 6 pm. If you are there during this time, we appreciate your understanding. We want you to have a manicured atmosphere in which to relax. Craig is a neighbor and does lawns on the side. If you see him, feel free to say hello. He has been in Millersport all of his life and he’s super nice. I’m sure he can tell you a thing or two about the area.
- Toddlers & Safety This house isn’t practically made for children under 5. We don’t have locks for cabinets, a fenced-in yard, a sturdy safety rail to go up and down stairs, safety gear for the water, or other measures in place to ensure a toddler’s safety. That includes preventing a child from getting into the décor around the house, like matches and candles. If children under 5 are staying in the house we highly encourage you to opt into extra insurance measures in case of unlikely accidents like urinating on a mattress, breaking objects, or starting a fire.
