Experience lakefront living at it's finest at Sunset Retreat on Pushaw Lake! This spacious cabin boasts an open concept living area complete with a wall of windows overlooking the water. Have a wonderful vacation swimming, kayaking or fishing. Sit back and enjoy truly awe-inspiring sunsets and sights and sounds of the loons and eagles native to the area. If you feel like venturing out, Bangor is a 30 min drive, and visiting Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park makes a great day trip.
Our cabin is located on a private drive in the small community of Hudson, located on the north side of Pushaw lake.
The outdoor space includes a lakeside deck accessible right off of a screened in porch. To the sides of the deck there is also a fire pit area and a shore offering lake access. The gradual shore is made of small pebbles and sand and is about 15 feet wide but depends on the lake level. It's a good spot for getting into the water for both swimming and kayaking.
The proximity to the lake allows for unobstructed views of the area's natural beauty and wildlife. Enjoy the sunset over the lake in the elements or comfortably indoors.
The living area includes an open loft with ample natural light throughout. The living room also has a large TV equipped with a roku, a dvd player and a selection of dvds.
Fiber internet connection with 50 Mbps upload/download - great for remote work.
The kitchen comes equipped with all dishes, silverware, coffee maker and basic pots and pans for cooking or baking.
All bedrooms and the full bath are located upstairs on the second floor. The large master bedroom has a comfortable queen bed, dresser, and a window that looks out on the birch tree woods. The second and third bedrooms have full size beds and a small chest of drawers. The fourth full bed is a futon in the loft area, which closes off by a door to the main hallway.
The main entryway is accessed via a keypad on the door. There is also an attached garage, which has access to the woodshed which is stocked with firewood for the outdoor fire pit.
The entire house and property is available for you to use. You can access the home 24/7 during your stay with the door keypad.

Hudson is located on the outskirts of Bangor, which is about a 30 min drive and offers shopping and entertainment. Coastal attractions are also close; Bar Harbor is about a 1.5 hour drive.
Orono is a convenient 15 min drive away, with restaurants and grocery stores as well.
The driveway has parking for 4 vehicles. There is no additional street parking, as this cabin is on a narrow, private road. The road and driveway are gravel and can be muddy in the wet seasons.
The cabin is in a small lake community, and we do have neighbors on either side.
