About Our Cottage
Welcome to our freshly updated 3 bedroom + Loft cottage located on stunning Lower Lake Dalrymple in the Kawarthas. Just a short 45- 90 minute drive from almost everywhere in the GTA.
Ours is a four-season cottage, open for bookings year round.
For 2023: Summer is considered prime-time and runs from Friday June 30 to Tuesday September 5th. Bookings during the summer are 7-night minimum and run Friday to Friday. Check-in is Friday at 4pm and check-out is Friday at 10am.
December holidays including Christmas and New Years are 3-night minimums.
Long weekends: Victoria Day in May and Thanksgiving are 3-night minimums.
Anything that falls outside of the above schedule is a 2-night minimum.

You’ll find everything you need for an unforgettable vacation experience. The cottage has 3 bedrooms, a loft, plus 2 pullout sofa beds and can sleep up to 14 guests.
There is central heating , Air Conditioning, a wood burning stove, ceiling fans. We also have smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, first aid kits on site.
For the fisherman:
Dalrymple is a spring fed lake with a silty/sandy limestone base. As it is a fairly shallow lake, it warms up early and stays warm all summer long. It is a fantastic lake for fishing with small and largemouth bass, pike, Muskie, some pickerel, crappy, and perch.
Bring your own rods and tackle. Lake Dalrymple is also an excellent Ice fishing lake.
There is a public launch 3 mins away so you can also bring your own boat if desired.
Here’s the layout:
• Bedroom 1 Queen bed
• Bedroom 2 Queen bed
• Bedroom 3 Bunk bed with Double on bottom and Twin on top, PLUS another Twin bed
• Loft space has a Double bed
• Living room has two pullout sofabeds that can sleep 2 on each.
ALL bed linens are supplied, including pillows. Mattress covers are on all beds. All bed linens are changed between guest visits. Please note, if you prefer to bring your own bedding, let us know in advance.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with the following:
• Refrigerator, stove, microwave, water cooler, air fryer, blender, 4-slice toaster, kettle.
• Coffee station includes 12-cup coffeemaker, DeLonghi espresso/cappuccino maker, French press, tea pot. Coffee filters provided.
• Full complement of brand new stainless steel cutlery, dinnerware, glassware, stemless wine glasses, coffee mugs, cereal bowls, serving platters etc.
• Brand new cookware set, frying pans, baking sheets, cutting boards and charcuterie board.
• Cooking oils, large assortment of seasoning/spices
The open concept living room/dining room includes:
• Two large pullout sofabeds
• Brand new 55” smart tv with Bell Fibe, Netflix, Prime, Paramount and unlimited wifi
• Brand new board games, poker set, cribbage board, decks of cards and a large selection of DVDs. Additional HDMI cables available for video game connection (bring your own gaming devices)
• Dining room table seats 8 with the option to connect 2 leafs for additional seating
Bathroom:
• Walk-in shower, toilet, sink
• Hair dryer, bath towels, hand towels and face cloths provided. Please bring your own beach towels. Please bring your own toiletries. IE: shampoos, soap/body wash/toothpaste, etc.
We also provide:
• Toilet paper, paper towel, garbage bags, hand soaps, dish soap, tea towels, foil wrap, parchment paper, plastic wrap, marshmallow sticks.
• All firewood is included for indoor wood-burning fireplace and the outdoor firepit.
• Bottled springwater for water cooler (Sebright general store is 5 minutes down the road if refills are needed).
Outdoors/Waterfront
• BBQ with cooking utensils. Propane is provided.
•Dock.
• 2 stand-up paddle boards, 3 adult kayaks, 1 triple seat kayak, 4 children’s kayaks, 1 canoe. Large selection of various sized life jackets for adults and children included; please be diligent about wearing a proper-fitting life jacket, please bring your own for you and your children if you prefer.
• Large lake floating mat, pool noodles
• Fire-pit, 8 Resin Adirondack chairs + plenty of extra Muskoka chairs, 2 picnic tables. Deck has additional dining tables, chairs and seating options.
• Cornhole game with bean bags, bocce ball. The lawn is large and level, perfect for games and family fun!
• There are no stairs to the water!!
Parking:
• Room for 6-8 vehicles in the driveway – please do not park on the lawn as we have a septic system.
Pets:
• We accept pets( dogs only/no cats ). There is a $100 pet fee per stay that will be added on after the reservation and payment are confirmed. Please send us an email or message to discuss pets/breed/how many etc before confirming your reservation.
Nearby amenities:
• Sebright and the Seabright General Store is approximately 5-7 minutes away and it has Beer, LCBO and basic groceries, plus a food truck on site
• Brechin is 15 minutes away and you’ll find an LCBO, Foodland, Tim Horton’s, Shell gas station, pharmacy, Canada Post, hardware store and automotive services
• Orillia is less than 30 minutes away and has basically everything you’d find in any city, including Costco, Farmer’s Market, Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Walmart, Winners, etc. All major Restaurants, movie theatre, bowling alley, etc.
• Casino Rama is about 20 minutes away if you’re in the mood for gambling, dining or taking in a show or concert!
• There are 5 golf courses within 15-30 minutes drive from the cottage
• There are several beaches and provincial parks within a 30 minute drive
• Boots and Hearts festival and the Barrie Automotive Flea Market are both held at Burl’s Creek, a 30 minute drive
• Dalrymple Dave’s Ice Fishing Hut rental is 5 minutes away
• Santa’s Village in Bracebridge is less than an hour’s drive
• Gamebridge Go-Karts is 20 minutes away
Snowmobiling:
• The B-104 OFSC snowmobile trail is accessible right from the cottage
House Rules:
• The cottage is on a quiet dead-end street with neighbours on both sides. Please be respectful – no noise or loud music after 10pm.
• Absolutely no parties or events on this property.
• NO SMOKING in the cottage - this includes cigarettes, cigars, vaping, marijuana products. Smoking is allowed outside, please do not leave any butts on the lawn, driveway etc. or in the garbage in the cottage.
Accessibility:
Unless you’re going for a walk/hike, a car is required to get around as no stores or amenities are within walking distance.
