Consider this house your home away from home while you visit Chaska or the Twin Cities. This house is home to us and our kids, 2 cats, and 2 dogs. We have lovingly updated so many areas of the house over the last 3 years we’ve lived here.
It was built in 1921 and its craftsman character and charm is absolutely timeless. The house has radiant heat with beautiful and effective radiators in each room of the house.
Updates include: ductless mini splits with AC and heat installed in upstairs and down in summer 2023, newly remodeled kitchen; removal of pool/chain link fence/and mess of vines/weeds; installation of patio, fire pit, grass & completion of picket fence to complete our spacious and fenced in yard; playground; electrical and plumbing fixes; cozy carpeted stairs; fresh paint throughout; bathroom remodels in progress.
This wonderful property boasts 5 bedrooms, including a king bed, queen bed, 3 twin beds, a trundle bed (two twins), 2 cribs, and 2 pack-n-plays that is perfect for families or groups of friends. The house sleeps 9 adults and 13, including children who sleep in cribs/pack n plays. With 2 bathrooms equipped with hair dryers and shower/bathtub, guests will feel right at home. Sheets, pillows, and towels are included with your stay!
Four bedrooms and one bathroom are located upstairs, and the downstairs parlor room has a queen size bed, pocket doors, and en suite bathroom. Note: this bathroom is the only one on the main level so access is through this room.
Enjoy the soothing atmosphere of the newly remodeled open concept kitchen, dining and living room, or relax in the cozy living space with a movie night.
Our fitness room includes a treadmill and dumbbells and gives you a view of the front yard, church tower, and front porch.
The back porch includes storage space and laundry for guests. The front porch is a terrific space to enjoy your morning coffee. Let nostalgia sink in as you swing on the swing bench and listen to the church bells.
We are 7 minutes away from Hazeltine National Golf Club and Chaska Town Course. Hazeltine (home of the 2016 and 2029 Ryder Cup) and the Chaska Town Course host many national golf events.
Our house is nestled in downtown Chaska adjacent to the Minnesota River, which has many hiking/biking trails for enthusiasts. Complete with sidewalks, restaurants, shops, and two local parks, the downtown itself is a walkable for all. Firemen’s Park is 5 blocks from our house and hosts weekly farmers’ markets as well as frequent festivals with food trucks and fireworks.
We are 25 minutes from Downtown Minneapolis, the Minneapolis chain of lakes, MOA, and IKEA.
