Stunningly set where the Little River meets the grandeur of Penobscot Bay, this oceanfront retreat in Belfast is a magical glimpse of Midcoast Maine. This waterfront home is conveniently situated along Maine Route 1, yet it's also wonderfully sheltered from the road by a wooded hillside. The picturesque harbor town of Belfast is just over two miles north, easily connecting you to charming shops and restaurants. Camden (16 miles), Rockland (24 miles), and Acadia National Park (59 miles) are just a few of the spots within easy day-tripping distance.
Summers here are something special, with a landscaped lawn rolling down to a private stretch of beachfront. Watch your children play among century-old black locust trees, light the gas grill for afternoon barbecues, and dine alfresco on the shaded deck with the sunset coloring the evening sky.
Inside, you'll be greeted by 4,500 square feet of living space with spectacular views of the water from almost every room. The gathering spaces are charming and plentiful, including a living room with a piano, a combination dining room/sunroom stocked with books, and a comfortable den with a smart TV. In addition to the light-filled, eat-in kitchen, there's an extra kitchenette for your convenience.
Alongside five bedrooms, you'll find a futon in each of the two living rooms and six full bathrooms to give everyone their privacy. A washer/dryer and high-speed WiFi are provided as well.
