We’re located in a quiet area close to all the highlights of NW Arkansas, such as the U of A and the Tyson corporate HQ, as well as top-notch bike trails, parks, restaurants, and shopping. From the fully-outfitted kitchen to the comfortable furnishings, everything is designed to make you feel at home.
The Space:
If business or leisure calls you to the Fayetteville/Springdale area, Springdale Retreat is here to be your welcoming and comfortable home base while you’re in the area. Families and business travelers will love all the amenities (hello washer and dryer!) and the feeling of tranquility you get from being tucked away in a quiet neighborhood while being close to it all.
LIVING SPACES
The cozy well-appointed living room offers comfortable seating, lots of natural light, and a 55” Smart TV ready to stream all your favorite shows. There’s no better spot to hang out with the family than in the upholstered easy chairs and comfy couch adorned with a ton of throw pillows. Great conversations and epic movie nights with popcorn are sure to happen in the heart of this home. There’s even enough room for a quick workout or yoga practice while on vacation.
Or perhaps you want to curl up with a good book in front of the fireplace and keep the family chef company while delicious smells emanate from the open kitchen. The den is an additional living area stocked with books and furnished with a recliner sofa, rocker, and a 42” flat-screen TV with Roku. There’s direct access to the backyard so you can keep an eye on the kids or take a quick “fresh air and sunshine” break while remote working.
KITCHEN & DINING
The beautiful and practical kitchen is fully-outfitted to help your culinary dreams become reality. The full suite of appliances includes a stove with a double oven, French door refrigerator, built-in microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and a coffee maker and electric kettle, so anything from a midnight snack to a holiday meal for a family is possible (or you might just want to order take-out!) All cookware and tableware is provided so just bring your menu ideas and shopping list.
Luckily when it’s time to eat, you’ve got options! Grab a counter stool for a quick breakfast or your morning coffee at the bar that comfortably seats four. For family meals, head to the sunny dining room with views to the backyard. The table seats 6-10 people and is such a nice spot to gather around a home-cooked meal at the end of the day.
BEDROOMS & BATHS
After busy days of hitting the trails and seeing the sights, retreat to one of our three peaceful and comfortable bedrooms furnished with dressers and closets for clothing storage, blackout curtains, nightstands with reading lamps, and of course, the softest premium bedding for the most restful nights ever.
Wake up to the sun in the master bedroom or pull the curtains and sleep late. Every detail makes this room feel special, from the royal blue accents and tufted bench to the unique tray ceiling with a contemporary-style ceiling fan. The ensuite bathroom offers a spacious double vanity with plenty of room for your toiletries as well as a luxurious walk-in shower complete with a seat. The addition of a Jacuzzi tub in this room really gives it a spa-like feel. Soak away sore muscles under the jets and dry off with a plush, soft towel. We provide an assortment of essential toiletries so don’t worry if you forget something.
Bedroom two is another king and you’ll love spending time in this cozy room with plush carpeting, dark wood furnishings, and a view to the outside of the tree-lined sidewalks. The ceiling fan provides a cool breeze on warm nights and the desk is just right for catching up on email or social media
The third bedroom features an adjustable queen-size bed and rustic wood furnishings. There’s nothing like a ceiling fan to provide a breeze and warm carpeting to wiggle your toes into each morning, and this room offers all these peaceful comforts.
The second full bathroom offers a single vanity with a large well-lit mirror and a tub/shower combo for the best of both worlds. We leave plenty of the softest towels for your stay as well as a basket of essentials, so relax and enjoy your time!
OUTDOOR AMENITIES
Head to the covered patio and sip fresh-brewed coffee while listening to breezes wafting through the trees and birdsongs. There’s seating for four at the outdoor table with additional seating to just kick back and take it all in. The fully fenced-in and private backyard is an emerald-green haven for playing with the kids or just laying on your back watching the clouds go by. Or you may choose to visit the front of the house and people-watch from the comfort of the covered and picture-perfect porch. The front yard is beautifully landscaped and the house has magnificent curb appeal.

The Neighborhood:
Springdale is a small but lovely gem in Northwest Arkansas. It’s a mere 20-minute drive to bustling Fayetteville with the University of Arkansas and 30 minutes to Bentonville, home of the Walmart Corporate Headquarters. Although it’s close to the larger towns, there’s a lot to experience right in its own historic downtown area.
For a look at some local flora and fauna, check out the Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks, right on the other side of Lake Fayetteville. A butterfly garden, Japanese garden, and Ozark native garden are a few of the twelve themed gardens open year-round to visitors and should appeal to the whole family.
The Razorback Regional Greenway is not to be missed if you want to take in some of NW Arkansas’ quaint downtowns from atop a bicycle. The 36-mile shared-use trail connects the downtowns of Fayetteville, Springdale, Lowell, Rogers, and Bentonville. It’s a great laidback ride suitable for all skill levels. Bridges and open spaces make it great for checking out some scenic views along the way.
If you’re heading to Fayetteville for campus activities, you might want to visit nearby Dickson Street, the heart of downtown Fayetteville’s music and nightlife scene. There’s a fantastic variety of nighttime entertainment to suit all tastes-from laid back lounges to energetic live music venues. Catch a band at George’s Majestic Lounge, a local favorite and Arkansas’ oldest live music venue. Many visitors also consider The Piano Bar a must for great music and a unique experience of karaoke with live piano accompaniment.
It’s not vacation without food, and there’s plenty of choices to tempt your appetite in Springdale and beyond. Just a 5-minute drive away, family-owned Bites and Bowls is perfect for anyone looking to fuel their day with smoothies, salads, vegetarian-friendly sandwiches, and of course, bowls made with yogurt, fruit, and granola. A quick bike ride or walk brings you to foodie heaven, otherwise known as The Boardwalk Food Court Truck. The only problem is deciding between crepes, sushi, or tacos, as depending on the day, vendors from the area come together to offer their fare to the masses. There’s even a seating area with picnic tables and popcorn lights for dining in the evening. When you’re shopping for coffee, either by the bean or cup, you can’t go wrong at Confident Coffee Roasters. They offer the old standards as well as some creative concoctions for the more adventurous family members. They roast their own beans in small batches so you get only the freshest joe in your cup.
If you’re looking for something a little stronger than coffee, consider a tour of the many breweries in the area. The Fayetteville Ale Trail gives visitors a glimpse into the craft brewery and cidery culture of the NW Arkansas region. It's a self-guided tour that features 20 stops in Springdale, Fayetteville, Bentonville, Lowell, and Rogers.
Take a day to experience Springdale’s lovely downtown in a walkable area surrounded by parks, shops, and dining. Local downtown shopping includes Cellar Door Antique Store, Hello Local which offers unique gifts and homegoods, Phat Tire Bike Shop, Whimsy Whoo Downtown, a clothing boutique, and more. Be sure to visit the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History with outdoor and indoor exhibits showcasing the history of this truly remarkable area.
