About this space
Enjoy the view of Taos Mountain from this 2900 sq. ft. 2 story custom built adobe style home. Step back in time as you as you watch the sunset over the many historical buildings in historic lLlano Quemado. Wake up and have your coffee in the sanctuary like courtyard, shaded by the branches of the globe willow. Spend the evening sipping wine or tea next to a fire in the kiva. Stargaze from the second story deck or turn on the string bulbs and enjoy views of the sunset with friends
The space
This home has large vigas from Taos Pueblo, high ceilings and thick plaster walls. It has a large bathtub for two and a mother in law style area with mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hot water pot and toaster oven that is easy to close off from the rest of the main house. A grass and flagstone covered courtyard with a built in fireplace and dining area greet you when entering the house. There is an insert fireplace and radiant heat to keep you warm in the colder months. The rear entrance of the house has a lawn separated from the main courtyard by a low adobe wall. The bathrooms in the original part of the house have new mexico styled tile showers. The second story deck has a sun shade and a dining area with a couch, chairs and a coffee table.
Guest access
This home will be accessed off of Hilltop Road. There is a gate into the driveway that may or may not be opened upon arrival but is not locked. Upon pulling into the driveway you will find ample parking. If you do however need an extra spot the property can be accessed by the neighbors driveway to the east. Please park along the fence, near the gate to house. The front door of the home is situated within the courtyard walls. You will be given a code for the keypad lock. There is also another keypad for the back door of the house.
The garage, a closet underneath the stairs, and 2 bedrooms closets will be locked.
Other things to note
There is a small secluded hot springs at the end of the road. It's about 90 degrees with concrete walls and a gravel bottom in a nice little oasis. This hot spring is owned by the Taos Pueblo. There is a caretaker there upon occasion whom may or may not be welcoming. You will park in front of a gate and follow the signs as you walk down a road to this natural spring.
