Do you need to unwind and recharge? At Riverwood, you will hear the birds sing, and bask in the stunning beauty of the Cacapon River. An extensive private hiking and biking trail is the perfect way to experience the beautiful forest surrounding the home. Serene forest bathing or exhilarating mountain biking, the choice is yours. (Bring your own bike). A huge wraparound deck with a large covered area is perfect for doing yoga, enjoying meals with loved ones, and reading a book in an Amish rocker or a swinging chair.
High-speed Wifi allows you to stay connected, and stream your favorite shows (bring your device to connect to TV with provided cables). The serenity of the location is ideal for working remotely without distraction for extended periods. Discounts are available for any stay over five days.
A walk of less than a mile or a short drive bring you to the community’s private access to the river. Wildlife abounds here, including deer, turtles, ducks, geese and other feathered friends. If you are lucky, you may spot a pair of river otters cavorting in the sun. Spend the day taking the tubes for a lazy float down the river, or go for a refreshing swim.
When the sun sets, head down to the Tokyo Lounge for a cocktail. The outdoor lounge is covered from the elements by a ceiling bedecked with spring blossoms and Japanese lanterns casting a romantic glow. As the sky darkens, move over to the large fire pit. A large open kitchen will bring out the Top Chef in you. Make delicious meals for your family or friends. A propane grill on the outdoor deck offers a great view. A wood-burning stove will make fall and winter nights cozy.
The home has three bedrooms. The master bedroom features a king bed with adjustable firmness for each half. A basement bedroom offers a queen bed and one set of bunk beds. The upstairs bedroom is adjacent to the spa bathroom and has two double beds.
An upstairs loft room has a world travel theme with African baskets and gongs from Bhutan. It’s just the place for movie and game nights. A selection of board games and DVDs are provided.

So emergency vehicles can access the surrounding roads and properties, please do not block any driveways, roads or intersections.
Please do not exceed the number of vehicles driven per the number of bedrooms.
Check in time is 3 pm or anytime after. Please call our office to see if any early check in is available the day before or the day of your arrival.
Check out time is 12 noon promptly. Our housekeeping staff travels a great distance, please depart no later than 12 noon.
Please bring your own personal hygiene products (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc).
Please bring any spices and cooking preparation items (oil, foil, wax paper, etc).

We have a rental agreement that we email to you to electronically sign.
While we want our guests to enjoy their visit, please be respectful of the neighbors by refraining from playing loud music or any unacceptable behavior.
Guests must be twenty five years of age or older to rent this property.
CHECKOUT INSTRUCTIONS:
If traveling with a pet at a pet friendly property, please remove pet residue from the yard and pet hair from the cabin.
Check out time is 12:00 noon promptly.
Please do not leave any perishable food in the refrigerator or freezer, condiments are acceptable to leave.
Please bag all trash in a standard trash bag and ensure all recyclables are bagged. Garbage service will not remove any non bagged trash.
Place your garbage in the trash box at the driveway entrance (for Woods Resort Properties only, please take your garbage to the community dumpster just past the outdoor pool). Please call the office for trash pick up if garbage is overflowing.
Please wash all your dishes or start the dishwasher.
If there is a wood burning stove or fireplace, ensure the fire is burnt all the way down and close the door or fireplace screen. DO NOT PUT WATER INSIDE FIREPLACE OR WOODSTOVE, WATER WILL CRACK THE DEVICE. Leave all ashes in the fireplace or wood stove.
Campfire ring burning - if property has a campfire ring, please make sure the campfire is burnt all the way down and wet down with water before departing.
Please turn off all lights before departing. Ensure all windows and doors are closed and locked.
During summer months, please set air conditioning to 75 degrees.
During winter months, please set heat to 55 degrees.
Please return the key to the lock box and roll the lock box numbers on all zeros (0-0-0-0). Ensure you leave the key in the lock box for housekeeping to access the property.
Please leave the cabin in an orderly and reasonable condition, our housekeeping staff works very hard to make the properties sparkle. Gratuity is appreciated for the housekeeping staff.
