Waterfront property perfect for a week's vacation or long weekend getaway on the Rappahannock river. Located a short distance from the Chesapeake Bay, local towns, great food and shopping.
Beautiful wide water views! Many different types of wildlife make daily appearances - bald eagles, osprey, ducks, dolphin, deer... Enjoy a private beach, fishing and swimming from the dock or in the pool just off the large deck with teak furniture and retractable awning.
Located directly next to historic Pop Castle, this property is accessed via a small, private road in a neighborhood featuring large lots and mature landscaping. A fully-equipped kitchen includes a gas cook top, oven and microwave; outside you will find both a gas and a charcoal grill. There are two wood-burning fireplaces, a dining room, sun room and river views from almost every room.
The 40' x 15' pool is open from early/mid-May to late September, depending on weather and temperatures. It is 3 ft in the shallow end and gradually deepens to 8 ft. Steps run the length of the shallow end. Beach towels provided.
Things to do -- Fishing and crabbing off the dock. Fishing rods are available for your use. Fresh crabs are available for purchase from several local seafood vendors nearby. Other activities include an outdoor ping pong table, kayaking, lounging in the hammocks and a hot tub.
A private gravel road is great for morning and evening walks and bike rides (2 adult beach cruisers provided). Incredible sunsets are best viewed from the dock. House is equipped with a stereo, indoor and outdoor speakers, large televisions w/ Netflix, HBO Go, Showtime Anytime, Amazon Prime and more. Music app info, directions, logins etc. provided at check-in.

Interaction with guests: Owners live next door and are available as needed. Our super-friendly dogs may visit from time to time as they love to make new friends, humans and dogs alike.
**Guest dogs may be allowed on a case-by-case basis only: Typically this includes smaller to medium sized (45-50 lbs max.) house trained dogs friendly with people and other dogs (owners' dogs live next door), one dog per group. No large breeds, water dogs or heavy shedders. A non-refundable pet fee, consistent with those charged by pet boarding facilities, will be added upon approval. Please message host for complete pet policy and fees.
**Other things to note: White Stone, Irvington, Kilmarnock, Urbanna and Deltaville are a short drive; each town has unique restaurants, shopping, live music and delicious food. Very convenient to the property are the Sandpiper and Willaby's restaurants as well as excellent take out from the River Market. Dog and Oyster winery is less than a 10 minute drive. Highly recommended breakfast at the Carwash Cafe in Kilmarnock.
