Quinta da Arte is a country estate on 12 hectares with four separate, individual holiday homes, each of which is special and in the middle of a natural, grown park with art objects surrounded by private gardens.
"Casa das Rochas" with its integrated rock landscape (Rochas means rock in Portuguese) and thus gave its name to the house.
Each of our four guest houses has its own private garden with terraces and sun beds completely embedded in nature.

("Rochas" means rocks in Portuguese) and so the existing rocks were named after the 85m2 house, which is completely private and in the middle of nature.
Privately embedded in the upper part of our property called
"Quinta da Arte", with a total of 4 individual, private holiday homes that all have their own charm.

When my husband saw the rocky landscape
Found Casa das Rochas, he decided to simply build the house around it and so the beautiful, completely private, simple and cozy Portuguese house with reed grass ceilings and exposed wood beams was created, which is located in the upper part of our site and is surrounded by nature on all sides .
Ideal for 2 adults, also with children, who value life in nature.

Casa das Rochas combines everything under one roof and is divided into two levels, which are only separated from each other by three flat steps.
In the upper part there is a pull-out sofa bed (150cm x 200cm) and there is another bed behind a rock nose that can also be a bed for a toddler (up to 10 years).
The beds all have mosquito repellents and fans.
Please ask for a cot and high chair.
There is an open fireplace and you have beautiful views of nature through a window front with mosquito protection.
On the ground floor there is access to the marble bathroom with toilet and bidet and a shower bath.
Here you will find a double bed with mosquito repellent and a hidden cupboard with sliding elements in front of it.
There is a closed salamander stove right next to it, which can be heated with wood and is ideal for the somewhat cooler spring or autumn days.
From here the guest gets through an adjoining and glazed winter garden with a table and two chairs into the separate fully equipped kitchen and the adjoining barbecue area.

Right next to the kitchen there is an illuminated outdoor barbecue area.
The house has a shaded outside terrace with 4 chairs and a dining table as well as sun loungers.
Come and enjoy the peace and quiet, watch the many different birds that come to the pond to drink and experience our beautiful surroundings.
And in the back garden area there is a refreshing outdoor shower from which you can see the sea flashing on the horizon.

HYGIENE
Dear guests, I know very well that we are all still a little careful when it comes to hygiene measures, even in times after Corona.
As your landlady, I am particularly aware of this.
We have always used disinfectants alongside the cleaning products that are in normal use and will continue to do so.
A clean house for our guests was and is always a special request for us, which our guests can also confirm in their reviews.
I think we can all now, after Corona, look to the future with more confidence and yet we remain mindful and careful in our environment, that's my motto.

The large, opening studio doors with fluttering, white towels in front lead the guest over a wide flight of stairs to the garden section with its sun loungers, grill and dining area.
Looking into nature and sitting the evening on the so-called Portuguese staircase, it can be one of the beautiful evening experiences to be enjoyed here.

Quinta da Arte is located in Sotavento, the south-east-facing Algarve coast, a coastal landscape with miles of sandy beaches and intact bird and fish life. Here fishing boats cross the waterways of the tamed Atlantic. The property itself is nestled in a wide natural landscape of carob-olive-almond and orange tree plantations. Surrounded by a slightly hilly mountain border, the sea about 8 km away glistens on the horizon. The pearl of the Algarve, the Roman-Arabic Renaissance city of Tavira, at the mouth of the 'Ria do Gilao' is only 10 km away.
Once we have arrived at our hotel, our guests are often amazed at the even bigger or more beautiful conditions of the accommodations than you have already seen and expected in the photos.

Peace, nature, inspiration, freedom.
From the ideas of an artist and his creative partner, four individual, artistically designed holiday units were created, where everyone has privacy and their own charisma. The mild climate and light as inspiration, the desire to bring nature and the just mentioned back to the people, glass and iron buildings were designed or z. B. Shaded roofs made of colored acrylic panels.
Each house has its own peculiarities, from absolute privacy to a life with and in art that is never intrusive.
As is the case, for example, in the Pavilhao da Arte, the large outer bed is covered with a mosquito net, which allows the guest to sleep outside in the middle of nature.

A water quality that has been awarded the best EU seal of approval for years and the still existing small fishing villages and their lively goings-on.
Lagoons which enchant and which the guest can overcome with small fishing boats and ferries to get to the sea, which of course can also be crossed on foot via beautifully laid out paths.
