The 20,000 sq ft Mansion and its secluded 200 acres of private grounds provide ample space to host events - such as family getaways/reunions, corporate teambuilding events/retreats, movie filming, commercial video shoots for advertisements, weddings (Inquire for rates of weddings) private celebrity bookings (non-disclosure agreements will be put into place if requested). The Mansion is located on a quiet country road that has expansive views, when you come over the mountain and down the valley where Chelsea Sun Inn is located, there is no other structures except for the Chelsea Sun's structures among the expansive valleys. Enter the Lion Gates and begin your escape!
It’s easy to get lost in the expansive mansion with different rooms and nooks in the facility it truly feels never ending! Get your chef game on with a cooking competition in our gourmet chef’s kitchen located next to our Sunny White-Wainscoting Garden Room and Grand Oak Paneled Dining Room. Garden room seats 55, Dining room seats 70. Each room can be set up to your specific configuration. Set up a projector in our Grand Lobby for a group movie with snacks! Need room to store perishable items? Besides the 1 large refrigerator, there is also two back-up refrigerators and one back-up freezer. Kitchen is equipped with a commercial ice machine that holds 100lbs of ice and makes 300lbs per day. Each guest bedroom boasts a different style of unique personality from our Versace Suite done in all ivory with Gold embellishments with 20 ft windows displaying views of the rolling hills and acreage. To our Glimmering Grand Royal Suite with 20-ft stone walls, 4-poster mahogany/ gold canopy bed and Italian marble bath with jacuzzi tub. These rooms will not disappoint, just look at the photos!
The expansive Grand Concourse has a 40x60 professionally decorated tent that has a max capacity of seating up to 225. Next to the tent is our in-ground swimming pool, private lake, 20-person Jacuzzi, barbeque and outdoor fireplace for s’mores and a fire in the evening! Vast freshly manicured lawns perfect for summer games like baseball, racquetball, kickball and more! Take a sunset walk up our gravel trail to the top of Chelsea’s privately owned 1600ft hill, this boasts breathtaking 360* views of the famous Appalachian Trail and Delaware Water Gap Recreational Park. Or if you want to save the walk, we will usher you to the top of the hill with our privately owned tractor and 24-passenger trolley. All aboard! If you’d like to venture off-property, there are a variety of activities in the local area. For example, there is awesome white-water rafting on the Delaware River only 15 minutes away. You can embark down a scenic four, six or ten-mile stretch of the Delaware River, tucked between the Pocono Mountains. Like to golf? Golfing at Shawnee Golf Resort is only 15 minutes away. Take a group hiking trip through the famous Delaware Water Gap and Appalachian trail, be sure to bring a camera! Visit Smithfield Beach for swimming in the Delaware River, or bring mountain bikes and take advantage of the off road-biking trail only 15 minutes away, a great beach for young children and great trail for teens and adults. This rental property was originally a farmhouse constructed in 1811 with a working farm that still operates to this day and cultivates corn, wheat, hay alfalfa and soybean. In 2006 the original Farmhouse was newly renovated and expanded, during construction the owner was very keen to maintaining the original detail of the older style farmhouse but with a twist of modern elegance. Historical material was resourced globally to build our featured areas such as the Grand Lobby and dining rooms with the original wood and balcony coming out of the famous Lamb Theatre located in NYC. Members of the Lamb Theatre included Mark Twain, Douglas Fairbanks Jr and Fred Astaire. Eclectic antiques and furniture were sourced globally to design the Chelsea. Other historical antiques include: Fireplace Angel Cherubs from the Plaza Hotel, Tiffany Chandelier crafted in the 1930’s, bed sets from the famous entrepreneur Raymond Bartolocci and much more. Intricate computerized well-systems feed Chelsea Sun’s water supply from 5 underground water oases. The water’s quality is of the purest and has been compared to Fiji water.
