Our quaint bungalow is located in the pretty village of Skelton, which is situated about 3 miles northwest of York. We can accommodate up to 4 guests in two double bedrooms. There is free WiFi, parking for 2 cars and a sunny patio. Ideally located for easy access into York, and travelling to nearby towns such as Helmsley and Harrogate, or even slightly further afield to the East Yorkshire Coast or North Yorks Moors National Park.
We support responsible travel within the current restrictions and therefore my property is available for booking where the purpose of your stay falls within the current guidelines set out by the local Government.
The property is professionally cleaned and the linen/ towels are replaced with freshly laundered supplies between each stay. We offer remote access with easy self check-in and 24/7 guest support should you need any assistance during your stay.
There are two double bedrooms, both with clothes storage facilities, a bathroom with shower over bath, and an L-shape open plan living dining room which leads into the kitchen.
In the living area is one large comfy sofa and matching armchair. There is a Freeview TV and a small selection of board games for your entertainment. The dining table and chairs are located by the patio doors where the natural light brightens the room.
Our kitchen is stocked up for home cooking and there are plenty of dishes and tableware so we hope you can feel at home! Kitchen appliances include use of a kettle, toaster, microwave, electric hob and oven, fridge freezer and washing machine.
There will be some complimentary tea/coffee waiting for you which I am sure will be useful for those arriving after a long journey! If wish to purchase more for your stay there is a convenience store next door.
There is a ramp up to the house for wheelchair access. The doors are all wide at 33 inches (but the bathroom is not wheelchair friendly.)
Outside there's parking for two cars (see 'Other things to note') and a private, sunny south facing courtyard. We have some outdoor furniture too, which you are very welcome to borrow!
Guests will have access to the entire bungalow.

PARKING
There is off road parking for two cars. Space 1 is in a little recess just in front of the house, at the bottom of the ramp, to the right. This is suitable for a medium sized car. Space 2 is on the driveway and more suitable for a small sized car. (Please make sure to not block the neighbour's access for their driveway.)
TRAVEL COT
A travel cot and mattress are available to borrow upon request, subject to availability, and at an additional cost of £20. Please ensure you message before hand so that I can arrange for the installation. Guests will need to bring their own cot bedding, including a bottom sheet. (I am afraid highchair requests cannot be met).
It is included in our listing, but in case you missed it, the shop next door opens at 7am, which is when they open the window shutters. This can be heard for a few seconds from the main bedroom. We hope it doesn't cause too much inconvenience for light sleepers!
