There are plenty of walks and mountain bike routes on The Quantocks to enjoy but a good place to start is Ramscombe/Great Wood. Plenty of tracks and routes lead off from a central BBQ area which lends itself to circular routes of varying length.There is a lovely cafe, The Foxy Bean, at the start of this Forestry Commission site, although the cafe is not open every day. Another popular walk is Cothlestone Hill which on a clear day has fabulous views towards Bridgwater and Taunton. This is a popular walk for dog walkers so the car park can get busy at times. We particularly like a walk which includes views over the Severn Estuary from Dowsborough Camp - the site of an old Iron Age hill fort (scheduled monument) near Nether Stowey.
