Enjoy the fresh air of the White Mountains in our cozy cabin, located in the beautiful Torreon community in Show Low!
This peaceful, minimal cabin has its own tree-filled backyard “forest” and evergreen views through every window.
The Torreon community is conveniently located near the intersection of highways 60 and 260 in Show Low. There are miles of walking paths within the community and hundreds of miles of hiking and multi-use trails in Show Low and neighboring towns (part of the White Mountain Trail System).
This is a great place to visit if you want simplicity, a slower pace, and time in nature--whether that means birdwatching on the back deck, taking a walk through the Torreon neighborhood, exploring local hiking trails and city parks, kayaking at Fool Hollow Lake, or snow skiing at Sunrise Park.
The 1,500 square foot/3 bedroom/2 bath cabin is purposefully minimal in its decor—simple bedding and a few choice pieces of art keep each room feeling clean and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare and enjoy good meals and plenty of room in the pantry to store your groceries. Salt and pepper, oil, and basic spices are provided, as well as a Keurig coffeemaker. Our solid wood dining table has plenty of room for the whole family with seating for 8. The breakfast bar between the kitchen and dining room offers another eating option with room for 3.
The living room is earthy and comfortable with a vaulted wood ceiling, gas fireplace and stone surround, and sheepskin rugs on the hearth. Both the living room and master bedroom have smart tvs.
The spacious back deck is the perfect place to relax in the sun or shade (gas grill and deck chairs included). Kids will enjoy playing in the wooded yard and climbing on the giant boulders! Families of small children should note that the back deck is gated, but the backyard is not fenced. We enjoy a very private location for a subdivision lot with no neighbors directly behind us, but the yard does back up to a neighborhood through street.
We love our cozy cabin and little backyard forest, and we can’t wait to share it with you!
[A note about the community: Torreon is a private community with amenities reserved for homeowners. The HOA does allow members to temporarily transfer membership to friends and guests for a fee. Information is available upon request if this is something you might be interested in. The Torreon golf course is a private course; guests are only allowed when playing with a member.]
