You'll be just a few blocks off Georgia Avenue, a portal for all sorts of dining and shopping, and less than a mile from the walking trail at Matthew Henson State Park. The closest Metro station (Glenmont - Red Line) is only two miles south, giving you a straight shot into downtown Silver Spring and the heart of Washington, D.C.
This listing includes the top two floors of the house, as the owners reside in the separate, private basement. Throughout the house, you'll find large rooms and exceptional craftsmanship, most notably in the rare antique dining room table with eight matching chairs, handmade by the finest skilled carvers in China for President Chiang Kai-shek's military advisor. Take a look at the intricate work beneath the glass tabletop - you'll discover a museum-quality masterpiece telling the stories of Chinese folklore, astoundingly carved from a single piece of wood over the course of a year.
Other highlights of the house include a chic kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a more formal living room, and a family room where you can curl up by the fire and watch movies on the big-screen TV.
