With kayaks and canoes provided, get lost in a world where sandbars are more common than cars; and great places to nap, fish, swim, or picnic are easy to find. Chase frogs in the cold springs close to the site; or paddle an hour upstream for ice cream and taverns in Marine on the St Croix--it's an easy float back (before sunset!) for western facing bonfires.
There is no greater joy than simple family time in nature, with all the comforts of home close by. Play hard outside and rest easy at Somerset River Retreat. This home features a stunning open concept kitchen with a 5 burner gas stove, large farmhouse sink with views of the great outdoors, a dual oven, huge fridge, and all stainless steel appliances. The round dining room table seats six comfortably, and boasts views of the river. The living room features plush seating and a bespoke petrified wood coffee table. Down in the den, there is no shortage of comfy spots to relax, including a chair and that hangs from the ceiling! Enjoy movie night on the large screen TV or play a game of oversized Scrabble or Connect Four. The den also features two bedrooms and a large full bathroom. The King Master Ensuite on the main floor boasts a stunning view of the St. Croix River with direct access outside, as well as a luxurious bathroom with a soaking tub. Another Queen bedroom down the hall features original artwork and easy access to the main bathroom.

• All guests must be over the age of 25, unless part of a family unit. Verification may be required.
• All check-ins are contactless! To provide this service, we require a photo of yourself holding your ID to verify your identity, to be emailed or texted to our reservations department prior to check-in. No exceptions. (Please be aware that we do not have staff available to meet guests in person on site for this purpose.)
• Bookings made within 7 days of arrival will require additional credit card documentation.
• A Minnestay Rental Agreement must be signed prior to arrival. This will require that you provide us with your email address. Please inquire about the terms and conditions prior to booking. More info can be found on the Minnestay website, under Guest Services - Rental Policies.
• No smoking inside of the home. This includes e-cigarette and vape.
• This property may have a noise monitoring device on the interior of the home. Additional noise monitoring devices may be located in gathering spaces on the exterior of the home, as well.
• No events! This home is designed for families and responsible adults. Restrictions include, but are not limited to: Weddings and wedding celebrations, bachelorette/bachelor gatherings, and reunions.
• No pets allowed!
• Please note that you are staying in a private home and not a hotel. We expect that you will treat it with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to resolve them as quickly as we are able.
• Consumable amenities provided by Minnestay are not refilled during stay.
• Quiet Hours: 10PM-7AM. We love our neighbors! Please be respectful of the permanent residents on either side of this property.
• Direct bookings or other online booking sources may be subject to a 3% cancellation fee.
Deviation from these rules can result in an eviction from the premises with no refund, as stated in the signed rental agreement.
