The holiday home Masia Tor de Dant is situated on a small hill surrounded by forest and with glance to the lake. The natural surroundings and the very specious grounds of the property, makes it a peaceful and private place for your holiday in a very big holiday home of high standard and with swimming pool. The property has a capacity of up to 42 persons.
Nevertheless, it is easy to make excursions to the many interesting places in the part of Catalonia including the different Dalí sights, the regional capitol Girona with its very interesting history and very lively town centre, the Costa Brava of course, and in the other direction the natural parks, excellent for outdoor experiences.
From the road, following in distance the shore of the idyllic Banyoles lake, you turn right to drive uphill through a tiny forest until you arrive to the impressive driveway in front of the house. The house has two buildings, the main building and the side building also called Masover. Below the building, you have the large pool area with sun loungers, or if you prefer the shade, you can enjoy life on the very big terrace one level above the pool area.
Masover (4 bedrooms):
You have access to the Masover-building directly from the terrace to a big common room with dining area with a big dining table, open kitchen with hotplates, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. Then there is a sitting room with TV and fireplace, and there is a toilet to be used upstairs and from the terrace.
Downstairs, you find the bedrooms connected with a long aisle. There are four spacious triple rooms, all with a double bed, a single bed and bathrooms ensuite. The thick walls keep the rooms nice and cool during the summer. At the other end of the aisle, there is another exit giving direct access to the pool area.
Tor de Dant A (10 bedrooms):
The main building has three connected parts. The first part has a cosy court yard with flowers and a terrace table and chairs. From the small hall you enter a common room with a fireplace in one corner and kitchen with many antique details for instance the stone sink and antique fridge still functioning, and modern comforts, for instance dishwasher and microwave. The entire house is of high standard but very historical and authentic.
From the kitchen, you have access to a big dining room, and from here three steps up, you find three double rooms, one with many authentic details and double bed, one with two single beds and finally one with double bed and a balcony with a fantastic view. There is one bathroom. In the other direction from the dining room, there is a living room with a toilet and also an extra fridge with freezer. Additionally there is access to a very big double room with two double beds and a bathroom ensuite, another double room with bathroom and third double room with double bed.
On the first floor with very high ceiling, there are a very spacious living room with different sitting zones, some with a view and one with sofas and television and stereo. There are four more bedrooms: A big double room with bathroom ensuite and a very nice view, a double room with two single beds, a small double room with 2 single beds and a bathroom with bathtub.
Tor de Dant B (3 bedrooms):
From Tor de Dant A, a very beautiful stairway carved in stone leads down to Tor de Dant B. As the house is situated on a hillside, this part is actually also in ground level, but in level with the pool area.
First, you pass a big double room with a bathroom with shower, and then you enter a living room with sofa corner with TV and open kitchen with dishwasher, oven, microwave, hot plates, fridge and freezer. A few stairs up you enter another common zone with dining table and access to a bathroom and two double rooms with double beds.
From this part of the house, you can enter another very cosy terrace area with olive trees and a very nice view. There is also a barbecue. The house has plenty of activities for instance there is a football field, table tennis and WiFi-intenet.
Surrounding:
The whole property includes 15.000 m2 so you have a very high level of privacy. The house is surrounded by olive- and fruit trees, there are a lot of cosy retreats for relaxation either in the sun and the shadow, as one prefer, and the pool and terrace area is perfect for gathering even very big groups to eat together or relax.
The Banyoles lake is only 4 km. away, and in 20 minutes, you can be in Girona, which is a fantastic city and the regional capitol. The roads provide easy access to the national parks inland and to the coastal area with the beaches of Costa Brava in the other direction.
There are a lot of sports- cultural- and gourmet experiences in the area, and if you want to try a typical Catalan dinner in the house, we collaborate with the chefs Rosa and Carlos who come to the houses to cook.
