In the heart of the Emerald Coast, Fort Walton Beach is a small city known for it’s white-sandy beaches on Okaloosa Island, just a short drive away and close to Destin, Florida. The Island Pier and the Boardwalk in Okaloosa is an ideal place for you to grab your rod and reel and catch some fish or walk out to see glorious sunrises. Go to Wild Willy’s Adventure Zone where you can play mini golf, laser tag, ride on the bumper boats or racetracks and or go on the rope course that is 60 feet in the air and has five levels of difficulty. Go on a day trip to Pensacola Beach, only an hour away, and visit Fort Pickens and climb up on its old walls and see the cannons that, at the time of their manufacture, were some of the largest in the world.
