As you step in to this warm and cozy wood filled A-Frame cabin with loft, hot tub and sauna you will fall in love. Nestled in the rain forest 5 minutes from Volcanos National Park on the Big Island of Hawaii At the foot of Mount Kilauea, Hawai’i’s youngest and most active volcano for your one of a kind volcanic vacation.
From the moment you arrive you will feel like you have entered a fairytale. Once you enter the front door you will see the floor to ceiling windows, and the attention to detail of the tongue and groove woodwork throughout this craftsman style cabin.
The guest bedroom is located on the ground level with it's own full bathroom. In the living room there is a comfy L shaped couch so that you can cozy up next to the fireplace while streaming your favorite movie 😉 Walk through the living room and up the steps to the loft and you will find the main bedroom which is overlooking the floor to ceiling windows with an amazing view of the rainforest.
The main bedroom has a nice office space with a granite L shaped desk to set up your laptop and get some work done in-between hikes at the Volcano.
There is a gigabyte of high speed internet so there is no problem running multiple devices and or streaming movies at the same time.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you might need to make a nice home cooked meal.
There is a full size refrigerator, blender, drip coffee maker, toaster and pots and pans.
As you walk through the sliding glass door to the back lanai you will see the hot tub to soak in while enjoying the view.
The back lanai has an 30 foot tall A-Frame wooden roof to stay dry and enjoy the sound of the rainfall. Walk down the back steps and you will find a covered yoga and meditation platform in the center of the garden. Walk a bit further and you will see the firepit with romantic outdoor seating for two. The property is gated and fully fenced.
The cabin is a short 4 minute drive to shops, art galleries and restaurants in Volcano Village. One of our favorite restaurants is Thai Thai (you have to try the Thai Thai special curry). Another fan favorite is Ohelo Cafe, they have amazing food and a nice ambience for date night! 💖 The go to spot for breakfast is at the Kilauea Lodge.
We know that you will love the "Manini Hale"(Hawaiian for little house) spending time with loved ones or to have an incredible romantic getaway for two.
Nearby activities, you can peer into a volcanic crater from a trail around its rim. Or hike through cavernous lava tubes. Or feel tiny green crystals slip between your toes on one of the world’s only green sand beaches.
Finish your day and head out to the private hot tub or sauna for a nice relaxing soak.
There is a full cleaning of the house including changing of the linens once per week with the rental of the house.
The Manini Hale is environmentally friendly and runs predominantly off of solar electricity, but it is connected to the grid. The property also has a back up generator in case of a power outage which can happen quite frequently in the volcano area. This is a really nice convenience to have so that your movie streaming and hot tub time go uninterrupted.
