A short 5 minute (400m), walk will take you to the picturesque Yaroomba-Marcoola Conservation Reserve and beach, which is a coastal destination and boardwalk just to the east of Mount Coolum with views back over the mountain. Known for its wide sandy shores, it is a favourite spot for beachgoers. During school holidays, the beach is patrolled by lifeguards, making it a safe place for swimming, and also enjoying the stunning ocean views, whale watching and the beautiful nature covered boardwalk alongside which runs as far as Marcoola Surf Club with regular lookouts to the ocean.
The Neighborhood:
Mount Coolum itself is a distinctive mountain and national park, merely 250 metres walk from the apartment, with a nature walk to the summit taking 30-45 minutes to ascend and presenting incredible views up and down the coast. This impressive volcanic rock formation towers over the suburb and provides breathtaking views of the ocean and hinterland. A popular adventure for sunrise and sunset walkers. It is ideally situated just a 10-minute drive from the Maroochydore Airport, and 25 minutes’ drive north to the pristine beaches and national Park of Noosa, as well as a quick 15 minute drive south to the urban hub of Maroochydore with its vibrant shopping centres and bustling business district.
Coolum Beach is nearby, however approximately 8 minutes’ drive North, followed by the quaint seaside village of Peregian Beach just a few minutes more.
