Stay in a special historical monument!
This monumental building from 1650 in the middle of the Hofkwartier of Dordrecht, has a rich history. Artists lived here, shopkeepers sold special goods, there was once a press agency, and recently it was an art gallery and a little longer ago it was part of a larger complex that also includes "The mop building." Some authentic and atmospheric details of the old walls and beams are still visible. And on the 1st floor the old stained glass is still present. The entire building has been renovated and equipped with new and surprising elements and modern furnishings. The building has a fresh and light appearance in which you will immediately feel at home.
Visitors.
Your apartment is on 1st and 2nd floor. You have a modern kitchen and bathroom with toilet, walk-in rain shower and sink. You can sleep here comfortably with 6 people and a baby / toddler. Nr. 6A is suitable for couples or families who like space, business travelers, families (with children) and larger groups. A crib for baby / toddler is standard.
Relaxing and / or working, it is both possible!
There is a completely new spacious and open kitchen. A relax corner with lazy armchairs and a sofa bed. You also have a private balcony. At the front is a large table with ten chairs at the window where you can work, hold meetings or have a nice dinner with your company. There is of course fast WiFi available and a flat screen TV is ready for you in the seating area.
For the little ones there is a crib, a toddler chair, a baby chair and a baby bath.
Food.
You are in the historic and vibrant heart of Dordrecht. There are many restaurants, cafés and pleasant terraces within walking distance. You can in this neighborhood o. A. Chinese, Italian, Portuguese, French, Dutch, Thai, Japanese and Surinamese food. Around the corner is a special brasserie where you can enjoy fresh coffee, cakes, snacks and dinners all day long. Within walking distance you will find very luxurious but also affordable restaurants and intimate (breakfast & lunch) bars.
Would you rather not leave the house anymore? The kitchen in the building is large and modern. You eat at the large table with 10 chairs, but you can also enjoy breakfast outside or have a drink under the starry sky on your own private balcony. We do not serve breakfast as standard, but a breakfast service via one of our local bakers is possible upon request.
To sleep.
The master bedroom (2 p.) With large double box spring bed is large and spacious. The cozy and intimate attic (2 p.) At the rear of the building has two single beds, is wonderfully quiet and has a special appearance through the sloping roof and the small windows. The couch in the sitting area on the 1st floor can also easily be converted into a spacious double bed.
The luxurious designer bathroom with spacious walk-in shower offers every comfort. There is also enough space for your clothes and suitcases. There is a hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Extra blankets and pillows are ready for you.
Is there anything to do?
The location itself is fully equipped for relaxation and is wonderfully quiet, but there is a lot to experience in the immediate area. Nice hip coffee and smoothie bars, vegan restaurants, modern lunch and dinner restaurants, everything is located nearby. The museum and theater can be found at the end of the street and the cinema is around the corner. Nice studios, flea shops and galleries are close by, the street is part of the Kunstroute.
The pedestrian zone starts two steps away. Discover the longest shopping street in the Netherlands, walk through the narrowest street of the city, over one of the many bridges and stroll past the historic canal houses and along the many ports.
A unique boat trip? That is easy because the boarding tower is at the end of the street. Bibelot pop center in the Energiehuis is only an 8-minute walk away. It is only a two-minute walk to the Three-river point on the Groothoofd where you have a great view of the rivers from one of the pleasant terraces.
Access for guests
You have your own complete building and your own balcony. If desired, you can additionally have a bicycle. For guests who want to stay longer there is an optional cleaning service.
The modern upstairs kitchen is completely new with a fridge-freezer combination, a combi oven and a dishwasher. Ceramic hob, pans, crockery and cutlery.
Modern completely new design bathroom with toilet, sink and walk-in shower. Towels and shower gel are provided for each guest.
