Located in the picturesque and unspoilt area of Yeni Erenkoy, which is the gateway to the stunning Karpaz Peninsula. This boasts the most spectacular countryside walks and ideal swimming locations, with beautiful natural sandy beaches. Also only 5 minutes from the luxurious Karpaz Gate Marina and beach club and 30 minutes from the breath taking Golden Sands Beach and donkey sanctuary. A little over one hour coastal drive takes us to Kyrenia, with its famous harbour known as the "Jewel of the Mediterranean" enjoying with one of the most romantic harbours. Also within one hour drive is the old walled city of Famagusta, with all its famous sites - it almost feels like an open air museum! Summary: Helen and Ian have created the most beautiful house and garden here with the most lovely things, in a great location. Downstairs is one massive open plan living space which is light and airy. Upstairs there are four double bedrooms, each with a double bed (three of which have ensuite bathrooms). We all found the beds incredibly comfortable - better than our own beds at home! We find that the majority of rental properties provide the minimum needed to be cost effective. That is not the case here! This villa provides a touch of luxury to come back to each day. Quite simply, we treasured being there. Outside there is a good shaded seating area to enjoy meals and the garden is a labour of love. There are beautiful views across fields and out to sea throughout the property. If you are looking for a really lovely property in this rural part of Cyprus, from which to explore Karpaz (the ‘Panhandle’), then you really do not need to look any further. I did lots of research and don’t think there is anything better and we certainly were not disappointed. The big cities are a long drive, so this location is for people like us who want to get away from it all. Karpaz is the most attractive rural part of North Cyprus, with lots of beautiful bays that more closely resemble the Caribbean than the Mediterranean and outside of the hot peak of the summer, there are lots of walks in the area to enjoy. With a car you can get to them all within 30-40 minutes. As you can tell, we thoroughly recommend this property and found Helen and Ian lovely people who are very easy and helpful.
