Greenpoint Woods is a 3-bedroom luxury cabin ideally located on 5 sun-drenched and secluded acres, less than an 6 minute drive from the heart of Woodstock and 12 minutes to downtown Kingston. The Cabin is open but cozy, with modern bohemian decor and original art throughout. Totally secluded (and fenced in for dogs) and surrounded by nature, yet so close to town!
The house sits at the top of a private lane on 5 acres, 3 of which are open, sunny, and completely fenced in so that furry friends can run free without worry. The property is great for wildlife watching, and we often see many deer, turkeys, and small critters all of sorts roaming about. The property is secluded in the forest, and tucked far away from the road and interference from any neighbors.
The new 18’x36 saline heated swimming pool is only a few yards from the house, and includes deluxe loungers and umbrellas for your relaxing pleasure. The bluestone pool patio includes a built-in firepit and Adirondack chairs—it’s truly a great place to chill-out all year round.
The rear patio is where we spent most of our time, and includes comfortable patio furniture and is great for al fresco dining in the summer. The brand new 6-person hot tub is directly adjacent to (and can be accessed from) the patio.
THE HOUSE
Although styled like a log cabin on the outside, the home itself is contemporary with all the modern amenities. The great room has cathedral beamed ceilings, ample seating, and a bluestone fireplace with stone harvested from the property itself. The living room is drenched in sun from the skylights, boasts colorful, modern décor and original artwork, and is open to the kitchen and small dining room. The 60" Smart TV with Netflix, Hulu, and Apple TV is a great way to pass a rainy afternoon.
The gourmet kitchen includes modern appliances, cookware, spices, and everything you’ll need to cook a restaurant-quality meal without leaving the house. The dining room table, crafted from raw wood by a local artisan, seats 4 comfortably.
There are three tastefully-appointed bedrooms: a master with a king-sized bed, a queen-sized room, and a room with two double beds. The en-suite master bathroom features both a ceramic tub and shower, and the guest bathroom has a shower. Both bathrooms include linens, toiletries, and other essentials for your convenience.
The loft is an amazing place to relax with a book from the guest library and listen to the record player. The loft storage also includes an air mattress, should you have an extra guest.
NOTE: There is an extra pet fee of $100 with a two dog maximum. No cats are allowed (sorry, I am allergic).

Summary: We live in New York City at the time it was the epicenter of Covid-19. We were holed up in our apartment in Manhattan for many months and rented this home to stay in hopes of being able to go outside without a mask in a secluded spot with amenities and a pool. We could not have been happier. I have to admit, we were worried as our first Vrbo rental was a few weeks prior for completely different property (number 1375930). That other rental was a horrible experience with a broken stove, broken fridge, water dripping through the ceiling and a bit of an uneven owner. The contrast was intense. Both Ken (the owner) and Kieran (manager with Ken) were nice, responsive, incredibly gracious, kind and respectful. They did what they said they way the said and everything worked as it was supposed to. The home has three bedrooms (one with a king bed, one with a double and a third room with two twins. Each bedroom has an A/C unit. It would get quite hot outside during the day but the A/C units cooled the rooms well. (we were there from June 18 - July 17th). There are two bathrooms, one in the room with the king bed (has a standalone shower and a separate tub) and a second shared by the other two rooms. There was always hot water and cold water. The water pressure was great and they both functioned and worked as you would expect. The main room (think of a large square with chimney in the middle) had the kitchen (lots of counter space), a glass table with two benches for eating inside on one side of the chimney and the living room on the other side with a large HD TV , remote and plenty to watch. There were two quite large couches that were very deep. From the living room you could exit to the outside deck with another table to eat at on the right and on the left a long large L shaped outdoor couch. We ate outside almost every night enjoying the serenity and view (over 5 acres fenced in and the pool looked idyllic. The pool is great. About 25' long and 8' (or so) wide. Wonderful for playing, splashing, lazying or even sorta doing short laps. We were there for a month and were grateful for being allowed to stay in their home. Also not, easy grocery shopping nearby as well as great hiking and bike trails.
