You will love the peace and beauty of this property. A 4 bedroom, up north cabin with three large decks located on Lake Shamineau. Lake Shamineau is one of a cluster of three large premier lakes, known as the Lincoln Lakes, located just southwest of the Brainerd Lakes Area, approximately 2 hours north of the Twin Cities. The lake is 1500 acres in size and fisherman catch walleye, northern pike, muskie, crappie and bass. The clear water is great for swimming and boating.
The home has keyless entry , so there is no need to check-in, just drive up at your convenience and use your personal door code to enter or lock up, The property is owned by two sisters, Melanie and Laurel. Laurel lives nearby, making it convenient if you need assistance or have questions.
There is a 22 ft pontoon with 50 hp motor available for rent at $150 per full day of your stay. The rental fee for a week long stay from Saturday to Saturday would be $900 (6 full days x $150). Pontoon rental is calculated by the duration of your stay only. Twelve adult life jackets and several child size life jackets are provided. The home is close to a public landing, so you can easily bring your own boat or pontoon and tie up to the dock . Use our fish cleaning station to clean your catch. There is a large yard and plenty of space for parking your vehicles, lake toys and trailers.
There are 4 kayaks and a pedal boat included with the rental. There are also several yard games and a basketball and hoop for your use. There is a large yard and a lakeside fire pit. Firewood is provided. The home is located on a wooded, dead end road and is a favorite for scenic walks with plenty of nature sights and sounds.
The home has a fully stocked kitchen with full size refrigerator, gas stove, and small appliances. There is a quaint seating area with a beverage bar and an additional small refrigerator off the kitchen. This area will become your favorite spot for morning coffee or to read a good book later in the day.
There is a large 8 seat table and a 4 seat counter in the dining area, so everyone in your party can share meals together. The main floor has windows across the entire lake side of the house and a large deck off the kitchen, so you will have constant lake views.
There is a gas grill (and a charcoal grill upon request) and a patio set on the main floor deck. The deck is shaded by mature birch and oak trees and is perfect for listening to the loons.
The large family room downstairs has a large gas, stone fireplace and several large windows providing views of the beach and lake. The lower deck is off of the family room and has several Adirondack chairs and a two seat rocker for lounging as you relax lakeside. There is a double hammock for taking a pleasant afternoon snooze.
The family room has a TV with Hulu, high speed internet, board games, puzzles, movies, books, and toys. A folding table with 4 folding chairs are on site for your use , plus larger tables, available upon request, for crafting.
The home has 4 bedrooms, with comfortable beds and premium bedding, and sleeps 12 people. Bedroom 1 has one queen bed and two sets of twin bunk beds allowing 6 to sleep in this room. This bedroom is on the main level and next to a large bathroom with a tub and shower combination. There is a private deck off of this bedroom for quiet time away.
A small bedroom, with one single bed, is a walk through bedroom off the kitchen. There is a pocket door for privacy. A third main floor bedroom, has a bunk bed with a full bed on the bottom and a twin bed on top. A 4th bedroom has a queen bed and is located down stairs next to the bathroom. This bathroom has a large walk in shower.
There is a pack 'n' play for younger sleepers.
There is a new washer and dryer in the down stairs laundry room and even an old fashioned clothes line outside. Natural laundry soap is provided.
To protect the quality of the lake water, all natural cleaning products and natural laundry soap are used to clean and wash linens and towels. All natural shampoo and conditioner, natural dish soap, laundry and hand soap are provided.
There are several fun attractions in the area. Pine Ridge Golf Course is located on the west side of the lake and there are several beautiful courses at Brainerd area resorts. There are a 2 state parks, a dirt bike park, snowmobile trails, bike trails, horse back riding, Camp Shamineau, pig races, car races, a military museum at nearby Camp Ripley, a fishing museum, 2 zoos, and a go cart park, to name some. An amusement park for children, Paul Bunyan Land, is south of Brainerd.
There are several good restaurants and bars nearby the lake. Brainerd and Little Falls are within 30 minutes and Nisswa, known for it's boutique shopping, is within 40 minutes. There are several micro breweries and a winery near Brainerd and Nisswa areas.
