Come and enjoy calm and nature at the Moulin de l'Estanque Lodge, in a 17th century stone building located in an exceptional setting, in the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees National Park.
This lodge of approximately 60 m2, carefully renovated, with a capacity of 4 to 5 people, is located between two pretty streams in a small peaceful and green valley, on the edge of the forest, and far from any atmospheric, sound or light pollution.
On the ground floor you will find a large living room, an equipped kitchen (fridge, gas hob, electric oven, coffee maker, toaster), as well as a shower room with toilet and washing machine.
Upstairs, a bedroom with a 160 cm bed, and an other one with two 90 cm beds.
Outside you will have access to a private grassy terrace with barbecue, in the shade of elderberries and right by the stream.
By choice there is no wifi in the gîte, but you will have access to a room open 24/7 located about twenty meters from the gîte, with lounge area and free wifi.
We are committed to an eco-responsible approach both in our agricultural and tourist activity, in order to get closer to zero waste in the management of our lodgings, you will therefore have at your disposal cloth napkins in order to avoid disposable napkins, homemade bee-wraps in cotton and beeswax to avoid the use of cling film, cleaning products and solid soap, ecological and homemade, as well as a waste sorting system separating waste recyclables, organic waste that will be composted by us, and food scraps that will be given to our chickens.

You will be able to taste the exceptional meat that we produce on our Mangalica pig forest farm in full open range (meat, pâtés, cured meats, or complete meals, information on request).

We also offer delicious and hearty homemade breakfasts.

Basic shops are accessible 5 minutes by car in the village of Rimont.

We accept dogs if they are educated and socialized and that they do not attack chickens that roam free on the property 😄, but they will have to stay outside the gite. We have an unsterilized male dog, who is perfectly socialized with humans and animals. Please let us know if you want to come with your dog.

Important details:
-despite a strong presence of water on the property, the exceptional biodiversity of the place (birds, dragonflies, frogs, salamanders, bats…) will protect you from mosquitoes.
-We raise woolly pigs (of the Mangalica breed) in the open air in our forest, but this activity causes absolutely no harm to the lodges. In addition, we will be happy to show you around this farm where the animals grow in ideal conditions.
During the summer holidays we only rent by the week, from Saturday to Saturday.
