This cottage is perfect for those who love the beach and outdoors. Enjoy the shallow waters of Lake Huron - perfect for young children and families.
Desirable cottage in Port Franks in a key location. The entire home is yours! The space was recently renovated and features a large backyard space. Also has a sand hill for kids to enjoy. Guest is not allowed access inside the garage.

- bedding is not included in your stay so please bring your own bedding.

- Oh Pizza - best pizza in town - fresh homemade pizza - you'll need to order in advance as it's very popular in the summer.
Enjoy great nature walks, wineries (Dark Horse/Shale Ridge), beautiful sandy beaches, or waterfalls in rock glen conservation with great views in and around Port Franks. Minutes to the pinery provincial park and Grand Bend!

Pets: Pets are not allowed at our home. ONLY Service animals are allowed and must be leashed, not left unattended, under control, potty trained, and otherwise adhere to Airbnb Service animal guidelines & Requirements.
Safety: Please note that there are steps into the home, and thus, the home is not handicap accessible.
Be aware that the stairs may have ice in the winter. Children can also get injured, so please do not leave them unattended.
Bonfires:
Cozy around the fire pit with marshmallows or snacks. There are enough chairs for up to 10 people. if you wish to use the patio chairs on deck 2, please ensure they are put back after use. Firewood will not be provided. However, there is a corner store and gas station nearby where new bundles should be available for purchase. There is also a large firewood depot (Camp store by Julie Streer or Mullins firewood) for all your outdoor needs. If you choose to have a fire, please make sure the fire is fully put out and chairs are returned and cushions/blankets/pillows are brought in or tied so they don’t blow away. Cushions are in the white bin on deck 2.
Grill: Yes, We do have a propane grill on location! We request that it not be moved for safety. Should you wish to use the grill, we provide grilling utensils/mitt in the kitchen. Grill scrapper next to BBQ. There may be a propane tank already installed. However, if it runs out, we do not readily check/ provide propane tanks. There is a corner store that can refill or provide a new tank if needed though please ready out to us as we may be able to get one to you. If you need help with the tank install, please let us know! Also, please make sure to properly dispose of any grease.
Parking: There is parking available on the driveway to home. It's large and has a 6-7 car maximum. Please note that the home driveway is a concrete driveway, and in winter month conditions (being in Canada) may be snowy or icy. We do provide salt/shovels, but please be aware of potential hazards. Please message us if there is extensive snowfall so we can work on a solution for snow removal.
Fishing: Port Franks is home to many marinas to dock your boat or enjoy a fishing charter.
TV: We have Roku and we have an Apple TV device (a streaming media player) which means it lets you watch videos, listen to music, play games, and use other types of apps from the Internet onto the TV. Guests have the ability to watch whatever subscription service they may already have (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) via these devices on the tv. Hit the apple remote "menu" button twice to awake/activate tv.
There are two smaller TVs on the main floor (main bedroom & Dinning room) that can be used to connect to any box.
