Situated on the outskirts of the historical Wollombi Village, the gateway into the Hunter Valley Wine Country. Only 2 hours drive from Sydney this house is a perfectly private sanctuary for you to escape the city and experience the 'Aussie bushland' in complete luxury and comfort - camping with style!
Star gaze, bird watch, dance by the moonlight and animal spot sitting out in the many entertaining areas. Move from the back timber deck over looking the small frog filled dam, to the cool vine drenched front deck or retreat or take a nap in the undercover poolside area, the choices are endless! Perhaps you would like detox in an infrared sauna then cool off in the 15 metre crystal clear pool then dry off whilst dozing in the comfortable the poolside sofa beds and sun loungers. Fire up the large wood fired pizza oven, shoot some pool, play a game of ping pong and then get cooking!

The house sleeps 8 adults. The large living and dining areas are open planned with large bifold doors opening up to an expansive timber deck.
Featuring a fully equipped country style kitchen with a new oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. Fully stocked herb drawer along with a reasonably stocked pantry is provided. Please note that this is our main home so everything you need will be there for you, please treat everything with respect!

Laguna is conveniently located in the stunning Watagans and is close to the Hunter Valley and surrounding areas. This historic area was settled in 1820. You can dirt bike ride or 4WD drive on world class tracks, or take a bush walk through beautiful forests and when you need a refreshing drink take a bike and cycle 10 kms down the road to a great place for a cleansing ale and a good feed at The Trading Post. It retains the rustic charm of 1870 even the liquor license still holds the name of 'Ye Olde horse Wagon Trading Post' !
Or do some food shopping at the Laguna Village Providores. The Laguna Village Providores is packed full with locally grown fruit and vegetables along with a huge pantry selection of all sorts of delicious treats. They also have a few fridges stocked full of Hunter Valley cheeses, salamis olives... whatever you want they have it! Make sure you mention that you are staying at Ellen & Simon's place to be really looked after!
Further down the main road you will come to the historic Wollombi Village where you can find:

* Myrtle House - perfect place to have a huge breakfast before you head to the wineries

*Wollombi Markets - Nestled in the village of beautiful Wollombi these 'old school' markets are on every public holiday. Over 100 stalls selling everything from antiques to native plants
* The Forge is worth a visit too, an eclectic and somewhat eccentric old building full of all things old and wonderful
*The Roadside Gallery is a must, just past Myrtle & Stone (great cafe) on your left is a cute shed filled with the talented local artists of the area. Each week can bring something new.
