Located just a 2-min. walk from Lake Michigan’s majestic shores, this pair of gorgeous vacation homes-Wade’s Cabin and Wade’s Lookout-are surrounded by woods and feature spacious open designs, superb styling and furnishings throughout, beautifully appointed and comfy bedrooms (with premium-quality beds and linens) and fabulous outdoor amenities. While each rental has its own great highlights, they share a patio stone fireplace, gas grill, fire pit and so much more! And oh yes, the beach nearby!
WADE’S LOOKOUT
Filled with magical charm, Wade’s Lookout is a 3BR-2BA home that’ll start your vacation right! The main living space has a playful color decor and open design with modern kitchen and stylish dining and entertainment areas, plush seating and a flat-screen TV, too.
All the bedrooms - including 1 with a custom bunk bed -are super-comfy. The sleek Master BR has a walk-in shower and balcony, which is accessible from the living room area. The bathrooms are nicely accessorized and have premium fixtures. And the kitchen has all the essentials you need for cooking up some great vacation meals! And you’ll find the stone-top island with its comfy chairs is a popular gathering place for sharing chat-time and drinks or snacks. But you can also choose to sit at the nicely appointed dining set for meals, as well.
Downstairs, besides a cozy bedroom with a queen-size bed, there’s a game area with an indoor Ping Pong table (and garage space, if you wish to use it).

WADE’S CABIN
Also just a short walk to Lake Michigan’s majestic shores, Wade’s Cabin is a gorgeous vacation home surrounded by woods featuring a spacious open design, vaulted ceilings, superb styling and furnishings throughout. Upstairs, besides a superb living room with fireplace to cozy up in front of, there’s also a large, first-class workstation with two desks and two work-from-home monitors, a record player with a nice vinyl collection. The fully equipped chef’s kitchen is perfect for making delicious meals, and the stone-top island also offers comfortable seating for enjoying a drink or snack.
The bedrooms are spacious, beautifully appointed and have comfy, high-quality beds and linens. Each bathroom has premium fixtures, and the Master bathroom is highlighted by a stone tile walk-in shower. Just off the kitchen is a super-inviting “three seasons” room with comfortable seating and a large table perfect for board games. (And we’ve got a number of them, plus a Giant Scrabble game and magazines galore.)
Head downstairs to enjoy relaxing in a fully loaded entertainment area. With a flat-screen TV, Wii-console and a putting game, plus super-comfy seating, you’ll have everything you need for movie nights, chilling out time or a young adult hang-out space. There’s also a garage space with a ping pong table and 4 cruiser bikes. We want to mention the home also has a whole-house air purification system and whole-house generator (if needed).

Some of the amazing outdoor spaces both Wade’s Cabin and Wade’s Lookout share include access to a relaxing firepit with Adirondack chairs—for relaxing with a drink or roasting marshmallows under the stars—a stone patio fireplace, a gas grill, lots of beach toys, a beach wagon and some small beach chairs ( ‘cuz it’s just a 2 min. walk to the beach! ) as well as a bunch of yard games for you to use.
Please note: These are both great vacation rentals with a lot of room inside and outside. We’re often asked, “Is it possible to rent just one of the properties?” Yes, you can rent either property separately from September to May. Please understand, if you rent one of the homes during these months, you may be sharing outdoor space with another family if they’ve booked time at the other property.
Besides being just a stone’s throw from a superb Lake Michigan beach, you can also enjoy the many activities afforded by the region’s largest recreational harbor, all sorts of woodland, lake and riverside parks with hiking and biking trails galore, nearby New Buffalo’s Oselka Park, which has baseball fields, playground equipment and tennis courts, or the many popular restaurants, galleries and boutique shops of downtown New Buffalo (just a hop, skip and a jump from Michiana). Union Pier is just 3½ miles away, with several great restaurants, coffee shops and breakfast spots. And there are plenty of nearby fun activities to keep you busy during your vacation, including:

While we understand that events can affect your trip, it is our policy to stick to the agreed upon cancellation policy in the listing. We recommend purchasing a vacation travel insurance policy if you suspect that you will need to cancel your vacation.
The minimum age to rent these homes is 25.
For guests that would like to bring pets we agree that pets are part of the family, and we welcome up to two (2) dogs here. All pets must be authorized at time of booking - email us immediately for pet approval if you plan to bring your dog.
Out of respect for our staff and their families, we do not permit check-ins or outs on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. Thank you for your understanding.
